Cordura Nylon Dresses the Latest Nike Air Max Sunder

After returning late last year, Nike has released an impressive array of colors for the Air Max Sunder. In 2025, they’ve begun to riff on the cult classic, adding new patterns and materials. This Fall, a new Cordura nylon edition arrives, adding both to the retro silhouette.

Nike’s turn-of-the-century running shoes might be some of the most innovative work in the brand’s history. The Alpha Project spawned a wide range of sneaker that have since become cult classic, many of which are back on shelves today (or never left, in the case of the Presto). Air Max family members Sunder and Craze are both back in the world, twenty-five years after their debut. The Sunder is even getting some wild new variants, like the Cordura pair seen here.

Over the last few months, Nike has started to get pretty crazy with their Air Max Sunder releases. After releasing some classic tonal and gradient styles, the quietly dropped a range of pairs with new materials. First we saw an all-leather “Hemp” look, followed by a bright red denim style. Now, a pair with extra ventilation is on the horizon, and today, a Cordura nylon edition has joined the 2025 lineup.

This new style brings an eclectic mix of patterns to the retro runner. As stated, the upper’s shroud is constructed from a water-resistant Cordura nylon fabric, and features a mix of blue tones in a pattern that might nod to graffiti art, though its hard to say without an official story. The leather mudguard mixes a navy blue base with a neon blue dot pattern across it, while vivid orange accents complete the look.

Nike’s new remixed pair of the Air Max Sunder has not been announced for release yet. Featuring a Cordura nylon upper, this new look is expected to release in Fall 2025. Both the nylon panel and leather mudguard feature intricate patterns, and pairs will be available through both Nike and select retailers. The price tag for this look has been given a slight bump to $190.

Infinite Archives has been teasing a special release of the Air Jordan 17 for months now. After many sample, we now have a potential release window, bringing their smooth “Beach” colorway to the public in October 2025.

Infinite Archives is an internet archive of all things pop culture spanning the last few decades. Scrolling through their Instagram feed, you’ll find posts about music, movies, art, sports, cars, fashion, and most importantly, sneakers. They have even branched out into making their own products in recent years, which are stocked by retailers like A Ma Maniére and many more. This year, they’ve been teasing a collaboration with Jordan Brand and the Air Jordan 17, sharing early looks at multiple colorways.

Now, it appears all the samples they shared previously were dupes, or just samples along the way to the final result. This week, we have our first official look at the project, as well as some in-hand images and a potential release window of October. For their final design, the shoe takes on a clean “Beach” color scheme. The look features a sandy tan shade across its full-grain leather upper, constructing the shoe’s inner working in black. The outsole adds some colorful accents in blue, purple, red, and yellow, with an iridescent heel clip to match.

The New Balance 993 Goes High Contrast with a “Baltic Sea” Style

0

New Balance’s 993 has returned to their Made in USA lineup this season, after the model was holstered for the last few years. This week, a striking “Baltic Sea” blue look from the Teddy Santis-led division has surfaced, coming soon.

The New Balance 993 has been a beloved part of the brand’s catalog since its introduction in 2008. The model is an evolution of the famous 990 silhouette, though the changes made for this release differed greatly enough to warrant a brand new number. The 993 made a grand return with the boom in New Balance’s popularity in the late 2010s, and has stuck around as a subtle staple for the last few years, with several exciting collab projects along the way.

While we are still waiting on JJJJound’s next release of the 993, the Boston brand is keeping us stocked up with fresh colorways of the retro runner. This week, the model has emerged in a shocking high-contrast “Baltic Sea” blue color scheme. The look begins with a black mesh base, adding vivid neon blue suede for the overlay panels. These two colors are bridged by a light grey leather mid layer, adding the shoe’s accents and branding in a matching shade.

Marvel & Bape Present a New Fantastic Four BapeSta Collection

0

BAPE has unveiled their latest collaborative project this week, teaming up with Marvel to give the Fantastic Four their due. Featuring the BapeSta and an array of shirts, seven iconic characters from the Marvel Comics universe are present for this release.

In 2005, A Bathing Ape linked up with Marvel to drop a legendary set of Bapestas inspired by iconic superheroes, including Spider-Man, Iron Man, Captain America, Hulk, and the Human Torch. These shoes came with patent leather uppers in colorways matching each character, “candy-painted” with bright, bold tones. Marvel branding hit the heel base, and they packaged the sneakers in blister-packs like action figures, blending superhero lore with sneaker culture. Fast-forward twenty years, and the two are ready to release their next project.

BAPE and Marvel are reuniting this season to give us another run of superhero-inspired BapeSta sneakers. This time around, the focus is solely on the Fantastic Four and some of their greatest villains. Similar to the 2005 release, each pair of shoes will come in blister-pack style packaging like vintage action figures, and will feature matching t-shirts available for purchase. The Thing, Human Torch, and Dr. Doom each get their own sneaker in their classic color combos, while the remaining two pairs act as team-up issues. Mr. Fantastic & The Invisible Woman appear on a blue & white look, while Galactus & his herald, the Silver Surfer, join forces for a bright blue & pink look.

MARVEL X BAPE FANTASTIC FOUR COLLECTION RELEASE INFORMATION

The new project from Marvel and BAPE highlighting the Fantastic Four has been scheduled to release this week, on September 27th, 2025. Featuring sneakers for all four family members as well as the Silver Surfer, Galactus, and Dr. Doom, each pair will be accompanied by a matching t-shirt. The collection will be available through the Japanese brand’s website as well as their retail stores. Pricing for each item is currently unknown.

New Balance’s Made in USA 992 “Dusk Shower” Releases This Week

0

New Balance’s beloved 992 has returned to their arsenal in the last year, bringing back an immensely popular model that last appeared in 2022. This week, the Made in USA model emerges in a soft “Dusk Shower” blue tone, coming soon.

New Balance’s 992 silhouette had a major resurgence in 2020, as the brand’s retro aesthetic was enjoying peak popularity. Originally released in 2006, the model became a central focus of their lineup that year, featured prominently in numerous in-line drops, Made in USA editions, and a variety of collaborations. By 2022, however, the 992 was quietly phased out, vanishing from release schedules until its return to the Made in USA line in 2024.

This year, the model has been a steady piece of the Boston brand’s release calendar, with seasonal releases and a handful of collaborations. This week, we have an early look at one of their upcoming styles for Fall 2025. The new color scheme brings a “Dusk Shower” shade of blue, a new color for NB’s in-line styles. The muted shade appears on the shoe’s outer layers, with baby blue leather panels sandwiched between that and the navy blue underlay.

The Made in USA model dons a new “Dusk Shower” shade of blue, with even more blue laying underneath. Nike Brings Off Noir Shades to the Air Zoom Spiridon

0

Nike’s Air Zoom Spiridon is back this year, remastered in one of the shoe’s best retro offerings this century. Today, the vintage runner has surfaced in a new color scheme for Fall, mixing a plain “Off-Noir” black palette with subtle purple accents.

The Air Zoom Spiridon is a personal favorite from Nike’s archives. Originally released in 1997, the model was designed by Christian Tresser, who also created the Air Max 97, two icons in one year. Named after Spiridon Louis, the first Olympic marathon winner, the shoe featured a full-length Zoom Air unit and a distinctive mesh-and-metallic upper with a reflective piping around each layer. This year’s retro of the silhouette was heralded by an Undefeated project late in 2024, quickly followed by a very quiet release of two Fragment-designed colorways.

Nike filled out their offerings of the Spiridon with many of the shoe’s OG colorways early this year, before moving on to new ideas. After going big and bright for Summer with the “Barely Volt” edition, the Swoosh is taking a more low-key approach for Fall. Alongside a “Photon Dust” white pair we saw yesterday, a simple “Off-Noir” black pair is on the way. This edition pits the shoe in a mesh and canvas black upper, with silver metallic piping in between each material. Nike has added a tiny hint of color through the Swooshes, which come dressed in a dark Cave Purple tone.

NIKE AIR ZOOM SPIRIDON “OFF-NOIR” RELEASE INFORMATION

The latest styles of Nike’s Air Zoom Spiridon have not been officially announced yet, but are expected soon during the Fall season. Seen here in its new “Off-Noir” color scheme, Nike has mixed in a slight Cave Purple accent, which barely stands apart from the otherwise black palette. Pairs will be available from both Nike and select retailers for $170.

The Air Jordan 40 Dons a Tonal “Bordeaux” Red For October 2025

The Air Jordan 40 finally landed over the Summer, and has quickly become our personal favorite of the more recent mainline AJ silhouettes. This week, we have an official look at a new “Bordeaux” style, coming soon.

The Air Jordan “Bordeaux” colorway first appeared in the 1992 Air Jordan 7, featuring a black and grey upper with Bordeaux accents. This unique design made it a standout, though Michael Jordan only wore it once during the 1992 NBA All-Star Game. The “Bordeaux” 7 retroed in 2011 and again in 2015, each time with slight variations in materials and construction. In 2021, the Bordeaux theme returned with the Air Jordan 6, combining black and grey tones with Bordeaux highlights, and was released in 2021. Later that year, the AJ1 OG “Bordeaux” dropped, offering a fresh take with Bordeaux overlays and metallic silver Swooshes.

Jordan Brand’s willingness to adapt their iconic colorways to different models has not dwindled. With the introduction of their new Air Jordan 40 this year, we’ve expected them to rehash some fan favorites, the first of which is coming this October. The latest pair of the AJ40 comes dressed in the classic Bordeaux theme, featuring the wine red shade across the shoe’s smooth, stitch-less upper. The laces, tongue, and midsoles come in their Burgundy Crush shade of red, while a dash of gold along the medial walls completes the look.

AIR JORDAN 40 “BORDEAUX” RELEASE INFORMATION

Jordan Brand has not officially announced their next release of the new Air Jordan 40, though the dark colorway is expected to release in October 2025. Dressed entirely in dark red shades of “Bordeaux” and Burgundy Crush, this gorgeous new style will be available in limited supply from both Nike and select basketball retailers for $205.

The Air Jordan 5 “White Metallic” Returns for Summer 2026

Despite their yearly introductions of new models, Jordan Brand’s classics are still their greatest strength. This week, we have news of another great retro coming in Summer 2026, the Air Jordan 5 “White Metallic”.

The early run of numbered Air Jordan sneakers are easily the most iconic shoes ever made. Michael Jordan’s runs with the Bulls during the late ’80s and ’90s elevated his footwear to incredible heights, with kids and fans alike chomping at the bit to feel just Like Mike. The first two models were designed by Peter Moore, before the reigns were handed to Tinker Hatfield, one of the most important names in Nike history. For the 1990 season, Hatfield came up with the Air Jordan 5, featuring a bold metallic tongue, jagged teeth on the midsoles, and a visible Air bag in the heels.

In 2000, Jordan Brand introduced new retro editions of the Air Jordan 5, which included a flip on their popular “Black Metallic” look, reversing the shoe’s color scheme for a white metallic edition. The look is a perfect neutral palette. Crisp white leather makes up the bulk of the upper, save for the silver reflective panel adorning the tongue of the shoe. More silver metallic is added for the 23 branding on the outer heels, the midsole’s jagged teeth, and even the toggle lace lock. Icy blue outsoles and black Nike Air branding will be present on the new 2026 edition as well.

AIR JORDAN 5 “WHITE METALLIC” 2026 RELEASE INFORMATION

The next retro of Jordan Brand’s “White Metallic” edition of the Air Jordan 5 is currently expected to release on May 23rd, 2026, though this information is not official yet. The clean white leather style with black and silver accents will include Nike Air branding, and will release from both Nike and select retailers for an expected $215.

Air Jordan 12 “Taxi” Releasing Fall/Holiday 2025

The Air Jordan 12 “Taxi” is making a triumphant return in 2025, reintroducing one of the most iconic colorways in the Air Jordan legacy. Originally released in 1996, the “Taxi” quickly gained fame for its sleek design, classic color scheme, and on-court performance, cementing its status as a must-have for sneakerheads and basketball fans alike.

The 2025 version of the “Taxi” stays true to its roots with a predominantly white leather upper and contrasting black accents on the mudguard, outsole, and heel. The shoe’s name comes from the yellow details on the carbon fiber shank plate and gold lace eyelets, evoking the imagery of New York City’s yellow taxis. The black Jumpman logo on the tongue and the bold “23” on the heel add to the shoe’s standout aesthetic.

What sets this release apart is its historical significance. Michael Jordan famously wore the “Taxi” colorway during the 1996-1997 NBA season, leading the Chicago Bulls to their fifth NBA championship. Inspired by the Japanese rising sun flag, the design of the Air Jordan 12 symbolizes Jordan’s rise to greatness, making it a timeless symbol of excellence both on and off the court.

The Air Jordan 12 “Taxi” will be released on November 8th, 2025, priced at $215 USD for adult sizes. The shoe will be available in full family sizing at select Jordan Brand retailers, in-store, and online at Nike.com.

The Air Jordan 13 “Flint” Blue Returns in Spring 2026

0

More Air Jordan releases for 2026 are being added to the brand’s release calendar. This week, news of another fan-favorite classic has surfaced. Originally released in 1998, the “Flint” color scheme of the Air Jordan 13 arrives again in Spring.

The Air Jordan 13 “Flint” is officially returning in Summer 2026, and sneakerheads are already hyped. Originally released in 1998, this colorway has always been a fan favorite, even though Michael Jordan never rocked it on-court. Instead, it found its place on the feet of college stars like Mike Bibby and Khalid El-Amin, cementing its legendary status in basketball culture. The 2026 retro sticks closely to the last 2020 release, preserving the Flint Grey suede overlays, 3M reflective mesh, and classic white leather underlays that give the AJ13 its distinct look.

The colorway’s mix of Navy, University Blue, Flint Grey, and White perfectly balances boldness and versatility, making it wearable for both courtside and streetwear fits. Nike and Jordan Brand are keeping things true to OG details, including the panther-inspired sole, holographic eye, and cushioned midsole with Zoom Air.

AIR JORDAN 13 “FLINT” 2026 RELEASE INFORMATION

The 2026 release date for the latest retro of the Air Jordan 13 “Flint” has not been announced yet, and is not expected to arrive until Spring, possibly on April 25th. The iconic combination of navy blue hues over a white base will be available through Nike’s SNKRS and select retailers, and is expected to come with a price tag of $215.

Nike Brings Reflective Details to a “Sequoia” Ava Rover

0

Nike’s all-new lifestyle silhouette for 2025, the Ava Rover, is returning for its next wave of colors in October. This week, we got an official look at a new “Reflective Sequoia” edition, coming soon.

For Fall 2025, Nike is rolling out fresh seasonal looks for the Ava Rover. Highlights for the upcoming seasonal collection include two standout editions: the “Dusty Sage”, which pairs a Light Orewood Brown upper with muted green midsoles and a striking Plum Eclipse Swoosh, and the “Earth” colorway, a deep, autumn-ready brown accented with black details. Both styles balance rugged utility with lifestyle appeal. Alongside these, Nike is also releasing a “College Grey” version, featuring darker monochrome tones ideal for colder months, arriving October 2, 2025.

This week, a fourth color scheme has emerged as a part of the Swoosh’s Fall lineup for the Ava Rover. This new pair brings a fresh addition to the silhouette, with reflective accents sprinkled throughout the shoe. The silhouette’s nylon weave upper comes in a dark sequoia green shade, paired with a dark lime green for the flexible rubber overlays and ReactX midsole. This color combination gives the shoe a toxic waste-like coloring. Pale yellow branding accents add another color to the mix, while reflective panels for the eyestays, collars, and heels complete the look.
