The Air Jordan 40 Dons a Tonal “Bordeaux” Red For October 2025

The Air Jordan 40 finally landed over the Summer, and has quickly become our personal favorite of the more recent mainline AJ silhouettes. This week, we have an official look at a new “Bordeaux” style, coming soon.

The Air Jordan “Bordeaux” colorway first appeared in the 1992 Air Jordan 7, featuring a black and grey upper with Bordeaux accents. This unique design made it a standout, though Michael Jordan only wore it once during the 1992 NBA All-Star Game. The “Bordeaux” 7 retroed in 2011 and again in 2015, each time with slight variations in materials and construction. In 2021, the Bordeaux theme returned with the Air Jordan 6, combining black and grey tones with Bordeaux highlights, and was released in 2021. Later that year, the AJ1 OG “Bordeaux” dropped, offering a fresh take with Bordeaux overlays and metallic silver Swooshes.

Jordan Brand’s willingness to adapt their iconic colorways to different models has not dwindled. With the introduction of their new Air Jordan 40 this year, we’ve expected them to rehash some fan favorites, the first of which is coming this October. The latest pair of the AJ40 comes dressed in the classic Bordeaux theme, featuring the wine red shade across the shoe’s smooth, stitch-less upper. The laces, tongue, and midsoles come in their Burgundy Crush shade of red, while a dash of gold along the medial walls completes the look.

AIR JORDAN 40 “BORDEAUX” RELEASE INFORMATION

Jordan Brand has not officially announced their next release of the new Air Jordan 40, though the dark colorway is expected to release in October 2025. Dressed entirely in dark red shades of “Bordeaux” and Burgundy Crush, this gorgeous new style will be available in limited supply from both Nike and select basketball retailers for $205.

The Air Jordan 5 “White Metallic” Returns for Summer 2026

Despite their yearly introductions of new models, Jordan Brand’s classics are still their greatest strength. This week, we have news of another great retro coming in Summer 2026, the Air Jordan 5 “White Metallic”.

The early run of numbered Air Jordan sneakers are easily the most iconic shoes ever made. Michael Jordan’s runs with the Bulls during the late ’80s and ’90s elevated his footwear to incredible heights, with kids and fans alike chomping at the bit to feel just Like Mike. The first two models were designed by Peter Moore, before the reigns were handed to Tinker Hatfield, one of the most important names in Nike history. For the 1990 season, Hatfield came up with the Air Jordan 5, featuring a bold metallic tongue, jagged teeth on the midsoles, and a visible Air bag in the heels.

In 2000, Jordan Brand introduced new retro editions of the Air Jordan 5, which included a flip on their popular “Black Metallic” look, reversing the shoe’s color scheme for a white metallic edition. The look is a perfect neutral palette. Crisp white leather makes up the bulk of the upper, save for the silver reflective panel adorning the tongue of the shoe. More silver metallic is added for the 23 branding on the outer heels, the midsole’s jagged teeth, and even the toggle lace lock. Icy blue outsoles and black Nike Air branding will be present on the new 2026 edition as well.

AIR JORDAN 5 “WHITE METALLIC” 2026 RELEASE INFORMATION

The next retro of Jordan Brand’s “White Metallic” edition of the Air Jordan 5 is currently expected to release on May 23rd, 2026, though this information is not official yet. The clean white leather style with black and silver accents will include Nike Air branding, and will release from both Nike and select retailers for an expected $215.

Air Jordan 12 “Taxi” Releasing Fall/Holiday 2025

The Air Jordan 12 “Taxi” is making a triumphant return in 2025, reintroducing one of the most iconic colorways in the Air Jordan legacy. Originally released in 1996, the “Taxi” quickly gained fame for its sleek design, classic color scheme, and on-court performance, cementing its status as a must-have for sneakerheads and basketball fans alike.

The 2025 version of the “Taxi” stays true to its roots with a predominantly white leather upper and contrasting black accents on the mudguard, outsole, and heel. The shoe’s name comes from the yellow details on the carbon fiber shank plate and gold lace eyelets, evoking the imagery of New York City’s yellow taxis. The black Jumpman logo on the tongue and the bold “23” on the heel add to the shoe’s standout aesthetic.

What sets this release apart is its historical significance. Michael Jordan famously wore the “Taxi” colorway during the 1996-1997 NBA season, leading the Chicago Bulls to their fifth NBA championship. Inspired by the Japanese rising sun flag, the design of the Air Jordan 12 symbolizes Jordan’s rise to greatness, making it a timeless symbol of excellence both on and off the court.

The Air Jordan 12 “Taxi” will be released on November 8th, 2025, priced at $215 USD for adult sizes. The shoe will be available in full family sizing at select Jordan Brand retailers, in-store, and online at Nike.com.

The Air Jordan 13 “Flint” Blue Returns in Spring 2026

0

More Air Jordan releases for 2026 are being added to the brand’s release calendar. This week, news of another fan-favorite classic has surfaced. Originally released in 1998, the “Flint” color scheme of the Air Jordan 13 arrives again in Spring.

The Air Jordan 13 “Flint” is officially returning in Summer 2026, and sneakerheads are already hyped. Originally released in 1998, this colorway has always been a fan favorite, even though Michael Jordan never rocked it on-court. Instead, it found its place on the feet of college stars like Mike Bibby and Khalid El-Amin, cementing its legendary status in basketball culture. The 2026 retro sticks closely to the last 2020 release, preserving the Flint Grey suede overlays, 3M reflective mesh, and classic white leather underlays that give the AJ13 its distinct look.

The colorway’s mix of Navy, University Blue, Flint Grey, and White perfectly balances boldness and versatility, making it wearable for both courtside and streetwear fits. Nike and Jordan Brand are keeping things true to OG details, including the panther-inspired sole, holographic eye, and cushioned midsole with Zoom Air.

AIR JORDAN 13 “FLINT” 2026 RELEASE INFORMATION

The 2026 release date for the latest retro of the Air Jordan 13 “Flint” has not been announced yet, and is not expected to arrive until Spring, possibly on April 25th. The iconic combination of navy blue hues over a white base will be available through Nike’s SNKRS and select retailers, and is expected to come with a price tag of $215.

Nike Brings Reflective Details to a “Sequoia” Ava Rover

0

Nike’s all-new lifestyle silhouette for 2025, the Ava Rover, is returning for its next wave of colors in October. This week, we got an official look at a new “Reflective Sequoia” edition, coming soon.

For Fall 2025, Nike is rolling out fresh seasonal looks for the Ava Rover. Highlights for the upcoming seasonal collection include two standout editions: the “Dusty Sage”, which pairs a Light Orewood Brown upper with muted green midsoles and a striking Plum Eclipse Swoosh, and the “Earth” colorway, a deep, autumn-ready brown accented with black details. Both styles balance rugged utility with lifestyle appeal. Alongside these, Nike is also releasing a “College Grey” version, featuring darker monochrome tones ideal for colder months, arriving October 2, 2025.

This week, a fourth color scheme has emerged as a part of the Swoosh’s Fall lineup for the Ava Rover. This new pair brings a fresh addition to the silhouette, with reflective accents sprinkled throughout the shoe. The silhouette’s nylon weave upper comes in a dark sequoia green shade, paired with a dark lime green for the flexible rubber overlays and ReactX midsole. This color combination gives the shoe a toxic waste-like coloring. Pale yellow branding accents add another color to the mix, while reflective panels for the eyestays, collars, and heels complete the look.

NIKE AVA ROVER “REFLECTIVE SEQUOIA” RELEASE INFORMATION

The all-new lifestyle silhouette from Nike, the Ava Rover, made its debut back in July, and new colorways are expected to arrive throughout the Fall 2025 season. The latest ”Reflective Sequoia” green pair seen here is currently set to arrive on October 2nd, 2025. The new style will be available from both Nike and select retailers for $145.

The Kobe x Nike Air Force 1 Low “Portrait” Returns for the Holiday 2025 Season

Nike has another classic Kobe sneaker on the way this season, though it is not one we’d expect. This year, they are rereleasing the “Portrait” style of the Air Force 1 from 2007, even rehashing the shoe’s Supreme build.

Back in 2007, Nike was celebrating the twenty-five year anniversary of their Air Force 1. Originally released in 1982, the silhouette was at the peak of its popularity as a part of streetwear culture in ’07, and such a big anniversary required some special releases. Nike created the Supreme variant of the shoe for the occasion, which emphasized premium versions crafted with higher-grade materials, luxe details, and often limited runs. Additionally, they had an Artist Series of releases, which brought in special collaborators to celebrate the iconic AF1.

One of the most iconic AF1 Supreme releases from that year was the Kobe Bryant pair. Part of their Artist Series, the look featured a laser-etched portrait of Kobe across the back heel of the shoes. Dressed in a luxurious leather build and features the no-show stitching around the forefoot mudguard, the sneaker came in a subtle Linen brown shade, and paired with a vivid neon blue sole unit. The original 2007 pair has a semi-translucent section at the heel to show off the Air bag, which does not appear to be present on this new release.

KOBE BRYANT NIKE AIR FORCE 1 LOW “PORTRAIT” RELEASE INFORMATION

Another upcoming release of the Nike Air Force 1 with Kobe Bryant branding is expected to arrive in November, though no date has been set yet. Rehashing the 2007 “Portrait” look, this special pair remixes the construction of the shoe and adds Kobes face to the outer heels. The linen and bright blue style will be available from both Nike and select retailers for $150.

Nike Brings “Mink Brown” to an Upcoming Dunk Low Gore-Tex

With Fall officially underway and Winter coming soon, sneaker brands are readying their lineups of weather-resistant footwear. This year, Nike is giving the Dunk Low a new Gore-Tex treatment, recently adding a “Mink Brown” color to their catalog.

One of the best parts about Fall & Winter sneaker styling is the addition of waterproof elements in our favorite styles. Instead of needing rain boots all the time, brands like Nike, adidas, and New Balance have often turned to Gore-Tex to create weather-resistant versions of some of our favorite sneakers. This year, Nike’s Dunk Low is getting the GTX treatment, letting us brave harsher weather without the risk of ruining a great pair of sneakers.

Nike is getting ready to roll out a wave of colors for their Dunk Low GTX debut, some of which we’ve been waiting for for months now. The silhouette first appeared in a shocking “Crimson” color scheme, and has since emerged in more subtle styles like triple black and Ceramic orange. Today, another pair has surfaced for an upcoming drop, dressing the iconic silhouette in “Mink Brown”. The smooth milk chocolate-y shade covers the shoe’s leather base layer, while the standard overlays come in their Light Bone shade. Soles and Swooshes stand out slightly in a whiter Sail tone to complete the look.

NIKE DUNK LOW GTX “MINK BROWN” RELEASE INFORMATION

Nike has yet to officially announce the debut of their new Gore-Tex edition Dunk Low. However, the model is expected to launch in Fall 2025 ahead of the rainy Winter season. The latest pair dresses the shoe in a neutral mix of Mink Brown and Light Bonetones, and will be available from both Nike and select retailers for $150.

Ishod Wair & Nike SB Call Their Shot With the Ishod 2 “Billiards”

0

Ishod Wair’s second signature shoe from Nike SB is still one of the best skate shoes around, after a year and a half on the market. This week, the silhouette has surfaced in a new special edition release, dressed in the rainbow tones of a billiards balls set.

The Nike SB Ishod 2 is Ishod Wair’s second signature skate shoe with Nike SB, released in early 2024. It blends basketball and Air Max aesthetics, complete with a visible heel Air Max unit, into a cup-sole design that still delivers solid boardfeel. The upper uses suede, leather, mesh, and durable overlays for both protection and breathability. The model has had some excellent colorways since its launch early last year, from the “Star Blue” and “Silver Bullet” in-line pairs to a limited-edition Verdy collaboration last Fall.

This week, an interesting new pair of the Ishod 2 has surfaced, taking color inspiration from the rainbow of hues present in a billiards set. While any personal story behind this special release has not been shared yet, we can safely speculate that Wait has a special relationship to pool. The look features a plain white base for the tongues, uppers, and midsoles, and adds vivid colors to the shoe’s outer layer in patent leather. Purple, green, navy blue, and red all appear across the shoe, while yellow eyelets and an orange sockliner complete the look.

NIKE SB AIR MAX ISHOD 2 “BILLIARDS” RELEASE INFORMATION

Nike SB’s latest colorway of their Air Max Ishod 2 signature shoe does not have a set release date yet, but is expected soon in Fall 2025. Donning the complete color spectrum found in a billiards ball set, the colorful new style will be available through Nike and any of their affiliated skate shops. The price for this special pair remains at $100.

PATTA Shares an Early Look at Their Nike Air Max Dn8 for Fall 2025

PATTA Nike Air Max Dn8 IB4029-001

The Netherlands’ Patta is off to a strong start with their Nike releases this year. This week, another style has appeared on our radar, featuring the Swoosh’s Air Max Dn8 in a black and silver build sporting the Patta logo across the tongues.

Amsterdam-based brand Patta has been a longtime collaborative partner of Nike’s. Over the years, the two have released some truly iconic styles, which started with their “Chlorophyll” Air Max 1 in 2009 for the brand’s fifth anniversary. Since then, most of their releases have been centered on Air Max models, particularly the 1 and 90 silhouettes, though they’ve dabbled in Huaraches, Air Spans, and an AM95/90 hybrid. Still fresh off the release of their “Waves” AM90 series, they seem to have several more releases lined up for 2025.

Earlier this season, Patta shared a sneak peak at another Nike release expected to arrive this year, featuring the CryoShot Mercurial, a soccer boot adapted to be a lifestyle model. Now, a high-ranking member of the Patta team, @edsonbarbapapa, has teased their version of the Air Max Dn8. Released early this year, the model features eight Dynamic Air tubes in its soles, and recently had a collab with Better Gift Shop to bolster its reputation. Patta’s take on the model is eye-catching, mixing a glossy black patent leather shell with greyscale mesh underlays, starting in white at the front and fading to dark grey towards the heels. The look is completed by a few blue accents, Patta branding on the tongues, and a branded carabiner attached.

PATTA X NIKE AIR MAX DN8 RELEASE INFORMATION

Patta has not yet announced a release date for their next Nike project, but the sneakers are expected to release in Fall 2025. Featuring the Dn8 in a glossy black patent leather finish, the new style will likely be available from both partners and select retailers, and is expected to come with a price tag of $230.

18East and Asics Are Releasing Their Debut GEL-Nimbus 10.1 This Week

0

New York-based clothing brand 18East is stepping into the world of sneakers this week. For their debut collaboration, they’ve teamed up with Asics to present a very special pair of the GEL-Nimbus 10.1, coming this weekend.

18East, founded in 2018 by designer Antonio Ciongoli in New York City, blends workwear, streetwear, and global textile craftsmanship. Its designs often use artisanal fabrics, like hand-woven khadi, block prints, and natural dyes, from India and Nepal. The clothing features relaxed oversized silhouettes, pleated pants, chore coats, and utility pieces. 18East is also known for limited drops, strong materials, and attention to detail, helping it build a dedicated following among menswear enthusiasts. The brand has released footwear projects in the past, though they have yet to jump into the world of sneakers. That changes this week, with their debut release.

The first sneaker project from 18East will see them team up with Asics, a partner perfectly suited to the NYC brand’s style. Asics has become known for giving their partners full control over sneaker releases, letting them swap out materials and colors for their own unique style. Focusing on the GEL-Nimbus 10.1 for this release, 18East is approaching the release through the lens of fast versus slow. They’ve removed many of the synthetic materials typically present on the shoe in favor of unfinished, natural textiles, lending a subtly slow, handmade feeling to ASICS’ swift running silhouette. Materials include raw edged cotton canvas, hemp blended mesh and jacquard cotton. The color scheme leans into their typically neutral, natural dye palette of brown, green, navy blue, and an earthy green accent.

18EAST X ASICS GEL-NIMBUS 10.1 RELEASE INFORMATION

The debut sneaker collaboration from clothing brand 18East is scheduled to launch this week. Pairs will be available initially from their NYC store on September 26th, followed by their LA store & online on the 27th. The Asics GEL-Nimbus 10.1 in neutral tones comes in a wide range of materials, and will likely come with a higher price tag than the shoe’s base version, though this information is not available yet.

Release Date: September 26th (NYC Store), September 27th, 2025 (LA Store & online)

The Air Jordan 1 High OG in “Pro Green” Releases in October

The Air Jordan 1 has turned forty years old in 2025, and Nike has released some fantastic colorways to celebrate the icon. This week, we have an official look at another stellar style, the “Pro Green” edition releasing in October.

2025 marks the 40th anniversary of the Air Jordan 1, and Jordan Brand is leaning into it big. Iconic colorways like the original “Bred” have returned in faithful ’85 OG form, complete with vintage leather, era-accurate collars, and branded packaging. Collaborative releases from Union LA, Travis Scott, and Fragment, are all on the way soon, and more recent icons like the “SBB” pair have also made a return. Jordan Brand also introduced the Air Jordan 40, its latest model, to honor the legend, pairing modern performance tech (full-length ZoomX and Zoom Strobel cushioning) with subtle design nods to earlier silhouettes.

While the big, hype releases have been sneakerheads’ main focus this year, Nike & Jordan Brand are still releasing some excellent brand new styles. One recent favorite of ours is the “Baroque Brown” style, along with the upcoming “Pro Green” pair. Releasing in October, this new look is one of the few green-based AJ1s to ever release. The look features a Pale Ivory white for the shoe’s leather base, adding the overlays in the dark green tone. Tongues and midsoles come in an off-white Coconut Milk hue, while gold Wings logos on the collars complete the look.

AIR JORDAN 1 HIGH OG “PRO GREEN” RELEASE INFORMATION

The next pair of the classic Air Jordan 1 High OG to release is currently expected to arrive next month, on October 18th, 2025. Dressed in “Pro Green” leather over a Pale Ivory base layer with a gold accent, pairs of the new color scheme will be available from both Nike and select retailers. Pricing remains at $185 for the AJ1 for now.

The Nike SB Dunk Low “Krampus” Releases Holiday 2025

Nike SB’s holiday-themed Dunk for late 2025 has surfaced this week, giving us an early look at a special-edition pair inspired by the darker side of Christmas. The “Krampus” theme is not new to the SB team, and returns this time as the Dunk Low.

The first Krampus-themed release from Nike SB released back in 2012, as a collaboration with artist Sean Cliver, dressing the Dunk High in an eerie black and red colorway. Now, it appears the SB team is running back the Krampus-inspired look with a new color scheme and different materials, as well as using their signature low-top Dunk as the canvas. Krampus is a folklore from Central Europe that acts as the anti-Santa, punishing naughty children in early December, and appears as a half-goat, half-demon creature.

The upcoming new “Krampus” edition of the SB Dunk Low brings some interesting material changes to the iconic shoe. The upper is crafted from a cracked leather material that features a Campfire Orange underlay covered in black, giving it the appearance of a burning coal. The tongue features a woven textile, with red Nike branding at the top. The insoles add some more Krampus details, including a sketched rendition of the creature on the right footbed. Finally, the inner tongues feature a “Not surprised” take stitched in an orange Euro-Gothic font to complete the look.

NIKE SB DUNK LOW “KRAMPUS” RELEASE INFORMATION

The new holiday-themed Dunk Low from Nike SB has not been announced for release yet, and likely will not arrive until late in 2025, during the holiday season. Inspired by the Krampus folk tale from Central Europe, the black and orange cracked look will be available from both SB skate shops and Nike for $125.
