Asics Debuts the GEL-SD Lyte in a Kiko-Styled UB12-S Pack

0

The Asics GEL-SD Lyte was first teased to return in 2025, and the first pairs of the retro runner are now here. Part of the brand’s SportStyle catalog with direction from Kiko Kostadinov, the model’s UB12-S variant has quietly dropped in two colorways.

Several years ago, Asics established their SportStyle division. The brand has focused almost entirely on running products since its inception, and needed to extend its reach into sneaker culture with something more approachable for everyday wear, blurring lines between running gear and street style. The Japanese brand dug into their archives, choosing specific silhouettes that would do well in today’s athleisure market, issuing special retros that updated the silhouette with slight tweaks and modern-day performance tech. In 2018, Asics named Bulgarian designer Kiko Kostadinov the creative director of SportStyle, and has used his influence to help introduce many of their latest offerings from the division.

This week, the GEL-SD Lyte has returned from the early 2010s. Originally designed as a hybrid running and training shoe, the models reemergence was heralded over the Summer by a CdG Shirt tease during Paris Fashion week. The model is making its debut in a pair of Kiko-designed styles, which have begun to pop up at retailers today. The first pair comes in a mix of “Lichen Rock” and “Black Coffee” shades. The former is a pale lime green tone, set on top of a dark brown mesh, and finished with a light grey accent. The second pair pits the silhouette in a Rust Orange shade for the bulk of the shoe, adding a Dolphin Grey accent to round out the look.

Off-White x Air Jordan 1 High OG “Alaska” Releasing in Spring 2026

UPDATE 9/26/25: Originally slated to release this holiday season, the crisp white pair of the Off-White x Air Jordan 1 High has now been officially moved to Jordan’s Spring 2026 release calendar. Now known as the “Alaska” color scheme, the pair’s release is not official until Nike says so. Recently, we had an official look at the Off-White Air Force 1 in Sesame, which replaced the Off-White wording with Virgil Abloh’s name instead. It is currently unclear whether this change will also be made to the AJ1.

Original Story:

The Off-White x Air Jordan 1 High OG is set to make a major comeback in 2025, honoring the legacy of Virgil Abloh. This release will celebrate both the late designer’s work and Jordan Brand’s 40th anniversary. Known for its deconstructed design and signature Off-White branding, this collaboration first made waves in 2017 with “The Ten” collection. The 2025 version is expected to pay homage to Abloh’s original sample, maintaining the minimalistic, all-white color scheme that made the original a cultural phenomenon.

Key details will likely include the iconic zip tie, exposed foam, and bold “AIR” branding that define Off-White’s style. The shoe is rumored to feature deconstructed elements on the upper, with a possible use of mixed materials on the toe and midfoot panels. These design choices will bring an elevated aesthetic that captures Abloh’s vision of blending streetwear with high fashion.

The exact colorway for this new release remains unclear, but many expect a variant of the European-exclusive white model from the original Off-White x Air Jordan 1. Fans can also expect a different material construction, akin to the Chicago variant, ensuring this drop stays true to Abloh’s legacy while offering something fresh.

OFF-WHITE X AIR JORDAN 1 HIGH OG RELEASE INFO

The Off-White x Air Jordan 1 High OG releases in the Holiday of 2025 at select Jordan Brand retailers and online at Nike.com. The retail price is set at $250. The Off-White x Air Jordan 1 High OG promises to be one of the most anticipated sneaker releases of 2025, blending iconic design with Virgil Abloh’s lasting impact on sneaker culture. Check out images of the first AJ1 sample below, which this pair is rumored to pay homage to.

Ronnie Fieg teases the Return of the Asics GEL-Lyte III With a White & Blue Style

0

Ronnie Fieg can easily be credited as one of the architects of Asics’ rise in recent years. This week, the Kith founder has shared an early look at an upcoming pair of the GEL-Lyte III, heralding its return in a white & blue colorway after several years on ice.

The ASICS Gel‑Lyte III’s original four OG colorways were officially retired a few years ago, following their 30th anniversary. This shelving was done both as a tribute to its legendary designer, Shigeyuki Mitsui, who was also preparing to retire, and to preserve the OG versions as collector’s pieces. Though the silhouette itself lives on with new colorways and releases, those classic OG colorways are no longer in regular production. Thankfully, Asics works with a wide stable of collaborators, like Ronnie Fieg, to issue new limited-edition pairs, guaranteed to become future classics.

This week, Ronnie Fieg briefly shared an early look at a new GEL-Lyte III release, before deleting the Instagram post. Kith has issued plenty of styles of the GLIII over the years, but the model has taken a backseat since their X-Men collection in 2023, only releasing two extremely limited-edition styles in the last two years. Now, the silhouette appears poised for return, thawed from its on-ice status in a stunning white & blue color scheme. The pair features a quilted toe box in white leather, Asics stripe branding in cream, and a mix of nubuck and suede in shades of light blue for the rest of the model’s overlays.

KITH X ASICS GEL-LYTE III WHITE/BLUE RELEASE INFORMATION

Kith and Asics have not announced any release plans for this special new pair of the GEL-Lyte III, though we hope to see a release before the end of 2025. The shoe has been on ice for the last few years, which is represented perfectly through this clean white and light blue color scheme. Pairs will likely be available exclusively through Kith.

Devin Booker and Nike Have Drafted a “What The” Take on the Book 1

Nike and Devin Booker have been iterating on their Book 1 for a year and a half now. Most releases come from moments and ideas special to Devin, and they appear to be capping off the Chapter 1 silhouette with a “What The” version, coming soon.

Devin Booker and Nike released the guard’s first signature sneaker in Spring of 2024. The two had been working on the model for some time, and its debut was one of the most hyped releases for that era of Nike Basketball. The silhouette is essentially a modern-day revision of the Air Force 1, one of Booker’s favorite shoes. The model features simple paneling, and has been dressed in a huge range of colors. Each release comes with a story about Devin himself, from his love of the outdoors to homages to classic Swoosh sneakers.

With the NBA season around the corner, Devin Booker has shared a few videos of his workouts in preparation. In the videos, his feet are completely blurred out, leading to speculation that he and Nike are keeping the Book 2 under wraps for the time being. They appear to have one more chapter for the Book 1 to close out the debut model, amalgamating many past releases into a “What The” colorway. The two shoes are mismatched, blending specific panels from special prior releases. For example, the right shoe features a denim toe box and the “Flagstaff” pair’s green mudguard, while the right features a shaggy yellow suede toe and a Safari print mudguard. This release will be limited, numbered to only 1,996 pairs.

NIKE BOOK 1 “WHAT THE” RELEASE INFORMATION

There has been no announcement regarding the release of the seemingly final chapter in Nike and Devin Booker’s Book 1 sneaker. However, with the NBA season approaching and Booker himself seemingly teasing the Book 2, we expect this colorful “What The” pair to arrive soon. Pairs will likely be available exclusively through Nike as they are extremely limited, with just 1,996 pairs in existence.

Jordan Brand has a ton of retro heat coming back this year, reviving some of the most iconic colorways from the past twenty years. This week, news of the 2011 Air Jordan 5 “Tokyo”, along with in-hand images, has surfaced, coming soon.

In 2011, Jordan Brand opened a new flagship store in Tokyo, Japan, dubbed Jordan Tokyo 23. To celebrate the occasion, the Jumpman released an extremely rare, and very limited edition of the Air Jordan 5 exclusively at the store’s grand opening. The shoe has gone on to become a Holy Grail in the sneaker world, due to its limited nature, special branding details, and the golden yellow shade that was a rare color to find on Jordan shoes in that era.

This year, Jordan Brand is finally bringing the Air Jordan 5 “Tokyo” to the masses. Over the weekend, in-hand images of a new version surfaced online, with a full slate of information including color and style codes, updated pricing, and a release date in September. The retro release will likely be available globally, both from Nike and their retail partners. The look features a stunning yellow shade across a smooth suede upper, adding grey accents for the tongues, eyestays, and plastic mesh panels, with black accents to complete the look.

GANNI’s Take on the New Balance 1906L Releases Next Week

0

Copenhagen-based label GANNI has unveiled their latest footwear project this week, rejoining forces with New Balance for a special release. This time, they’re bringing a snakeskin & patent leather combo to the divisive 1906L silhouette.

Ganni started in Copenhagen in 2000, originally making cashmere under Frans Truelsen. In 2009, Ditte and Nicolaj Reffstrup took over and turned it into a full-on ready-to-wear label that’s colorful, playful, and distinct from the typical Scandi minimalism. Ganni blends bold prints, vibrant patterns, and feminine silhouettes with relaxed tailoring, making clothes you actually want to live in. In 2022, the Danish brand struck up a relationship with New Balance, applying their unique aesthetics to the Boston brand’s iconic sneakers.

This week, GANNI and New Balance unveiled their latest project. The two have joined forces to cook up a special release of the 1906L, the loafer variant of the 1906 runner they released two styles of in 2023. The loafer version has been a divisive silhouette since its introduction, but appears to be making quite the impression in fashionable circles. GANNI’s take brings a brown snakeskin pattern to the shoe’s tongue panels, paired with a black mesh underlay for the rest of the upper. The many overlay panels come in a mix of silver and lack patent leather. Jeweled NB logos at the center of the foot complete the look.

GANNI X NEW BALANCE 1906L RELEASE INFORMATION

The next project from Danish brand GANNI and New Balance has been scheduled to release next week, on September 30th, 2025. The striking snakeskin and patent leather take on the 1906L will be available from both partners with a price tag of $190.

Salehe Bembury’s PUMA Velum Nitro Debuts Globally Next Week

0

UPDATE 9/25/25: Salehe Bembury’s PUMA Velum Nitro is now expected to release globally on September 30th. Both the orange and blue colorways will release from PUMA and select retailers for $180

ORIGINAL STORY:

Last year, Salehe Bembury and PUMA announced that the designer-for-hire would be teaming up with the brand’s basketball division to create new styles. This week, he has shown off a second PUMA shoe with his signature touch.

Back in Summer 2024, Salehe Bembury announced his next move in the world of sneakers, teaming up with PUMA’s basketball division to design new styles for the German brand. At the time, he made this announcement with photos of a custom pair of the brand’s Nitro model, featuring his molded fingerprint sole underfoot. Now, he has teased one of his debut releases from the team-up, which appears to be more of a running shoe.

The close-up look at Salehe’s first PUMA signature shoe gives us a lot to look forward to from his designs at the German brand. The model in question appears to be some sort of running shoe, with an upper made from mesh and synthetic, taped overlays. They come in an organic pattern, something he includes on nearly every release, and have a topographic pattern molded into the shoe’s soles. Co-branding appears on the tongues and the medial sides of the shoe, which comes in a soft green and bright blue colorway.

SALEHE BEMBURY X PUMA RELEASE INFORMATION

The debut sneaker from Salehe Bembury’s new partnership with PUMA has not been announced for release yet, and we do not even know the model’s name yet. However, they have been working together for some time, and we expect to see a release sometime later in 2025.

UPDATE 9/25/25: Salehe Bembury’s PUMA Velum Nitro is now expected to release globally on September 30th. Both the orange and blue colorways will release from PUMA and select retailers for $180

ORIGINAL STORY:

Salehe Bembury is back with another signature sneaker release this month. This time, the designer-for-hire is making his debut with PUMA, dropping the Velum NITRO runner through an exclusive, and very limited, popup event in Paris next week.

The name Salehe Bembury should ring a bell if you’re even a casual sneakerhead. The footwear designer has been one of the biggest names in collaborations over the last few years, after his “Peace be the Journey” New Balance 2002R was touted as one of the best sneakers of 2020. Since then, Bembury has gone on to create a whole signature line of shoes with Crocs and Anta, as well as collab projects with Vans, New Balance and more. Last year, it was announced that he signed a deal to help PUMA’s revitalized basketball department design new sneakers, which finally debuted last week with Tyrese Haliburton’s “Hali 1“.

Back in January 2025, Bembury teased another upcoming release from PUMA, a runner-inspired silhouette boasting a ton of the brand’s recent NITRO cushioning foam. Cast in a green and blue color scheme, the unknown model has now been identified as the Velum NITRO, a new signature shoe for the designer. Additionally, the model will make its debut to the public next week, in a limited, 100 pair release in Paris. The colorway for this special drop comes in a mix of orange, red, tan, and yellow hues, with a blacked-out sole unit featuring his signature fingerprint-inspired traction.

Shai Gilgeous-Alexander unveiled his first signature shoe with Converse back in February, and has been teasing a wide range of new colors ever since. This week, the Thunder star shared an early look at a “Masi Blue” SHAI 001 style, releasing Fall 2025.

Converse is coming back to the NBA courts this year. The creator of the original player model basketball shoe, the Chuck Taylor, has long been an afterthought when it comes to performance footwear. Now owned by Nike, the Massachusetts brand has signed a number of athletes to their program, and is doling out signature models to regain some market space on the professional court. This year, they unveiled the debut model for Shai Gilgeous-Alexander, coming later this year.

Since its unveiling at the NBA’s All-Star Weekend in San Francisco in February, SGA has been teasing plenty of colors for his SHAI 001 silhouette. While we still know very little about the tech inside the shoe itself, each pair that has emerged comes in a tonal color scheme, with a story relating to his personal life attached. The latest look is dubbed “Masi Blue”, likely short for his younger brother, Thomasi. The look comes shrouded entirely in a baby blue shade.

While we have been waiting on the reveal of that model, Clark has been sporting a ton of limited-edition PEs, like her Kobe 6 Protro in “Light Armory Blue”.

Bad Bunny’s adidas Ballerina Returns in 2026 in a “Flamboyan” Red Style

Bad Bunny and adidas have been heating up this year, releasing a ton of projects in tandem with the Puerto Rican star’s residency in his home nation. This week, a new “Flamboyan” colorway of his Ballerina shoe has surfaced, reportedly releasing in 2026.

Bad Bunny and adidas have built one of the strongest partnerships in sneakers, consistently delivering hype releases that fuse the artist’s bold style with the brand’s innovative edge. Since debuting the Forum Buckle Low in 2021, Benito has reimagined silhouettes like the Campus and Response CL with unique colors, layered designs, and storytelling rooted in his Puerto Rican identity. Each drop moves fast, cementing the line as both collectible and wearable. Together, Bad Bunny and adidas keep pushing lifestyle sneakers into new territory.

Releases from adidas and Bad Bunny for next year continue to lineup. During their The Archive event in PR last month, the two showcased some upcoming projects, including a GT Racer release in collaboration with Mercedes, and a tease of his first signature model, the BadBo 1. This week, Benito hit the stage in a fresh pair of his Ballerina model, in a new colorway inspired by the Flamboyan tree. Native to Puerto Rico, the tree sprouts striking red leaves throughout its bloom. The shoe mimics this through a Vivid Red upper, adding white stripes and a gum sole to complete the look.

Offspring x Nike Air Max Sunder “Community” Coming Soon

UPDATE 9/23/25: Offspring has announced that this red denim edition of the Nike Air Max Sunder is their new collaboration with the Swoosh. Originally seen in official images way back in February, the British retailer ha finally unveiled it for themselves. The shoe is a special release “By the Community, For the Community, Back to the Community”, and is their debut release with the Beaverton brand. In their post sharing the shoe, Offspring mentioned a “giving back” aspect to the project, which they have yet to reveal. This portion is likely part of the shoe’s release method, which has not been disclosed along with the release date.

In addition to the mystery community aspect of the shoe, Offspring shared some editorial photos of the Air Max Sunder. The new look shows off a special detail, the denim upper’s secret pattern. The pattern resembles a natural camouflage, and only shows up when the textile gets wet. And the best part of this release? Offspring is launching this collaboration for a steal, just £60, or approximately $80

ORIGINAL STORY:

Nike has brought us a handful of fresh and OG colors for the Air Max Sunder already this season, but now they are trying something new. This week we have an early look at a new denim version in a “Gym Red” color scheme.

Nike is clearly preparing for a big year for their recent Air Max Sunder retro, with more colors filling out their release lineup on a weekly basis. After the initial rollout in classic neons, followed by a Gore-Tex pack, the Swoosh is trying out some new material options for the Summer, including a pair with a leather upper as well as a new denim version.

The next new textile choice for the Sunder brings a denim outer shell to the classic Air Max model. The shoe’s outer shroud comes in the milled textile, with leather mudguards wrapping around the base. The upper is cast almost entirely in a bright Gym Red shade, with silver metallic Swooshes and zipper pullers. The look is completed by a solid grey midsole underfoot.

OFFSPRING X NIKE AIR MAX SUNDER “COMMUNITY” RELEASE INFORMATION

Nike’s upcoming “Khaki” style of the Air Max Sunder retro does not have a release date yet, but is currently expected to release sometime in Summer 2025. The bright “Gym Red” denim look will be available from both Nike’s SNKRS app and select retailers with its new price tag of $180.
