Nike Air Max Sunder in “Gym Red” Denim Releases Summer 2025

Nike has brought us a handful of fresh and OG colors for the Air Max Sunder already this season, but now they are trying something new. This week we have an early look at a new denim version in a “Gym Red” color scheme.

Nike is clearly preparing for a big year for their recent Air Max Sunder retro, with more colors filling out their release lineup on a weekly basis. After the initial rollout in classic neons, followed by a Gore-Tex pack, the Swoosh is trying out some new material options for the Summer, including a pair with a leather upper as well as a new denim version.

The next new textile choice for the Sunder brings a denim outer shell to the classic Air Max model. The shoe’s outer shroud comes in the milled textile, with leather mudguards wrapping around the base. The upper is cast almost entirely in a bright Gym Red shade, with silver metallic Swooshes and zipper pullers. The look is completed by a solid grey midsole underfoot.

Swarovski x Nike Ja 2 “Midnight” Releases in February 2025

Nike has had a string of releases embedded with Swarovski crystals so far this year, with even more planned for 2025. This week, we have our best look yet at the crystal-studded version of the Ja 2, releasing early next year.

Nike has been experimenting this year with adding luxury elements to some of their performance footwear, particularly in the form of Swarovski crystals. They have been adding the glittering gems to their shoes for years now, but the switch to more athletic models is somewhat more recent. Next year, they are taking the leap to court-ready basketball shoes with the Ja 2.

Ja Morant’s second signature model has been one of our favorite Nike Basketball models this year, with plenty of interesting colorways to go around. Early next year, they are giving the Ja 2 the Swarovski treatment, which includes some unique changes to the model’s design. The outer sidewall removes the standard Swoosh in favor of five claw marks down the side, each of which are filled with rows of crystals. The tongue logos have also been outlined in crystals, as well as the medial wall Swooshes. The pair is otherwise dressed entirely in a “Midnight” black shade.

SWAROVSKI X NIKE JA 2 “MIDNIGHT” RELEASE INFORMATION

The latest Nike release featuring Swarovski crystal flair, the Ja 2, has not been officially announced yet, but is expected to release on Valentine’s Day, February 14th, 2025. Dressed in a “Midnight” black colorway, pairs will be limited to just 1,999, and will likely be available exclusively through Nike for $550.

Nike’s “Heat Map” Air Max DN Releases in 2025

Nike’s Air Max DN has become a staple of their releases since the shoe made its debut for Air Max Day in 2024. With their follow-up DN8 on the way soon, they are injecting some NRG into the model, with a new “Heat Map” style coming soon.

Nike’s Air max Dn has seen a huge range of colorways since its debut last March, but the most notable pairs so far have come from collaborators like Supreme and size?. The latter incorporated a new textured upper into the shoe, with stippled colors used to create a more dynamic system of color blocking across the upper. Now, Nike is looking to breathe some new energy into the silhouette, inducting it into their NRG program.

The first colorways of Nike’s NRG edition Air Max Dn have surfaced this week, and they are bringing the hear – literally – with the new design. Seen here in a “Heat Map” color scheme, this pair mixes splotchy red and yellow tones to create a vivid, shifting pattern across the upper. This is framed by black tooling and tongue sections, with bold green Air bubbles under the heels.

Nike Pays Homage to NYC’s CBGB With a Special Dunk Low

Nike is paying homage to another iconic New York City landmark with a special Dunk Low this year. The subject for this release is CBGB, the music club in Manhattan that closed in 2006.

In 1973, Hilly Kristal opened CBGB in downtown Manhattan, a music club with the intent of hosting bands primarily focused on country, bluegrass, and blues. The venue became in icon in NYC, and remained open until 2006 when a rent dispute forced them to close. Over the thirty-three years in business, CBGB became an essential venue in New York’s history of punk music, and remains a piece of any famous bands history to this day.

This Spring, Nike is paying homage to CBGB with a special take on another icon, the Dunk Low. Featuring a light grey leather base with worn metallic silver overlays, they’ve added Cave Stone brown accents to complete the palette. The Nike branding on the tongues and heels is done in the style of the CBGB logo, with a printed stickered insole to complete the package.

Nike Celebrates the All-Star Game With a “Black Label” Collection

Nike Basketball Black Label Collection

Nike is gearing up to celebrate the NBA’s All-Star Weekend in San Francisco next week, with a ton of shoes slated to celebrate the occasion. This week, they’ve unveiled the “Black Label” collection, coming soon.

Nike Basketball has a huge roster of signature athletes, most of whom have their own sneaker models. Typically, the Swoosh makes special PE pairs for each player to wear during All-Star festivities, most of which do not release to the general public. However, this year, their Basketball division is switching things up a bit, releasing a limited-edition Black Label collection featuring all of their best court-ready models.

The Black Label collection from Nike Basketball is one of their most interesting projects in a while. The series dressed each premier Swoosh shoe in all-black with gold or green accents, and each comes with special packaging and a cursive B branding on the tongues. Additionally, each signature athlete model is limited in numbers to the year they were born; for example, 1,984 pairs of the LeBron 22, 1,988 pairs of the KD18, and 1,996 pairs of the Book 1. The full range of silhouettes also includes the LeBron 21, Sabrina 2, Giannis Freak 6, Ja 2, Zoom GT Hustle 3, and Zoom GT Cut 3.

Teddy Santis Shares an Early Look at Upcoming New Balance Shoes

Teddy Santis is still the creative lead of New Balance’s Made in USA division, in addition to working closely with the Boston brand on ALD releases. This week, he’s shared an early look at a handful of new styles on the way for 2025.

Aimé Leon Dore founder Teddy Santis’ stint as the creative director of New Balance MiUSA has been immensely productive over the past few years. Santis rose to the position after the success of the first ALD collaborations in 2020, and has been pumping out regular seasonal collections for the Made in USA line for the past few years. The projects have largely focused on the 990 family, but have since expanded to include several other retro models.

New Balance has ramped up their Made in USA line over the past four years, keeping a steady flow of special releases through their regular seasonal collections. Their creative lead, Teddy Santis, shared an early look at what to expect from their most popular models this week. Three shoes were shown in the photos, starting with a bright new color of the classic 990 in apricot orange with yellow accents. The same photo also includes a colorful pair of the 992 in blue, with yellow and green soles and a purple heel accent. Finally, more styles of the 860v2 are on the way, including pairs in white/green, blue/yellow, and hot pink/silver.

There was no announcement regarding release information for any of the shoes here, or even details about which pairs are in-line New Balance releases or ALD collabs. CNCPTS Teases a Starry Nike Air Max 1/93 Hybrid

Boston retailer Concepts has a storied history of Nike collaborations, crafting intricately detailed shoes with incredible backstories. This week, they have teased a pretty wild new project, combining the Air Max 1 and 93 into a new hybrid model.

Concepts sneaker collaborations have a special way of grabbing our attention, and that of the sneaker community at large. The store has a long history of creating immaculate special projects, diving into the storytelling before even drafting the design of each shoe. Their history with Nike has produced some of the most high-profile releases of the last two decades, from the 2022 Air Max 1 to the numerous “Lobster” SB Dunks. This week, the creative lead, Deon Point, has teased an interesting new project with the Swoosh, hopefully coming this year.

The (potential) next release from Nike and CNCPTS returns to the Air Max 1, the last shoe they collaborated on, but with a pretty wild twist this time. The two appear to be working on a new hybrid model, which fuses the upper of the AM1 with the midsoles from the Air Max 93 into one shoe. Both pairs come in a jet black upper with starry white spots across them, adding colorful iridescent Swooshes and an extended mini Swoosh at the toes that reaches all the way to the heels. Two colors appear to be in the works, one with a green outsole & air bubble and the second in orange. These pieces of the shoe also appear to feature a glow-in-the-dark rubber.

CNCPTS X NIKE AIR MAX 1/93 RELEASE INFORMATION

Currently, there is no official word on a release of the new Air Max project from Concepts and Nike, though we hope to see this hybrid shoe release in 2025. Combining the upper of the AM1 and the sole of the AM93, the starry sky-inspired look will likely be available exclusively through CNCPTS and Nike.

Salehe Bembury x New Balance 1500 MiUK Drops Tomorrow

Salehe Bembury might have the most prolific output of any sneaker collaborator in the game today. This week, word of a new project with New Balance has surfaced, stating that Bembury’s take on the 1500 Made in UK releases this month.

Salehe Bembury has been incredibly busy over the last few years. The hired gun footwear designer has lent his talents to Crocs, New Balance, Puma, and Vans since he burst onto the scene back in 2020. New Balance has been a regular partner of his, giving him the freedom to play with some of their classic silhouettes. This week, @brandon1an on Twitter shared an early look at his next release, reportedly coming later this month.

Bembury’s latest project with New Balance is not the release we expected quite so early in the year. For months, he has been seen wearing a bold purple pair of the 990v2, though apparently his take on the Made in UK 1500 is coming first. Seen here in some of its official images, the new style begins with a light grey base for the mesh and leather portions of the show. The outer layers of the upper come in a soft sandy color, while slight accents in yellow, olive, orange, and purple complete the look.

SALEHE BEMBURY X NEW BALANCE 1500 MADE IN UK RELEASE INFORMATION

Salehe Bembury’s next release with New Balance has not been announced yet, but is believed to release later this month, according to @brandon1an. The muted taupe pair will likely be available first from his Spunge website, followed by a wider NB release. Pairs will come with an elevated price tag of $275.
