adidas’ AE1 in “Silver Metallic” Available Early for All-Star Weekend

Anthony Edwards’ AE1 from adidas remains one of the best performance basketball shoes on the market. The two seem to be well aware of this, and are releasing more and more colorways through the rest of 2024, recently adding a “Silver Metallic” look to their calendar.

Anthony Edwards has quickly become one of the superstars of the NBA, drawing crowds at away games just to see his electric play style. The Timberwolves small forward/guard also has an endorsement deal with adidas, which brought us his first signature shoe late last year. Dubbed the AE1, the silhouette has been heralded as one of the best signature shoe on the market, and the Three Stripes have kept new colorways in steady supply to retain that title.

This week brings us another early look at an upcoming colorway of Ant’s shoe, this time giving the model an eye-catching, chromed-out look. The shoe’s textile inner bootie comes in a simple black shade, with blue Three Stripes logos on its carbon fiber heel plate. The signature hexagonal outer cage is cast in a Silver Metallic finish to complete the new style.

Jewell Loyd x Nike GT Cut 3 “Paint Splatter” Drops April 2025

0

Nike is once again elevating the game of women’s basketball with the highly anticipated Jewell Loyd x Nike GT Cut 3 “Paint Splatter.” This player-exclusive (PE) sneaker represents the second collaboration between Nike and WNBA superstar Jewell Loyd, bringing a striking artistic flair to the high-performance GT Cut 3 silhouette. Featuring a unique paint-splatter design and elite-level technology, this sneaker is set to captivate both basketball players and sneaker enthusiasts alike.

A Sneaker Built for Greatness

Jewell Loyd, a two-time WNBA champion, has long been recognized for her electrifying playstyle and competitive mindset. Her latest GT Cut 3 PE embodies that energy, with “Go Be Great!” emblazoned on the heel as a reminder of her relentless pursuit of excellence. This motto not only represents her journey but also inspires athletes who lace up these kicks.

The GT Cut 3 has become a go-to sneaker for quick and agile guards, making it the perfect choice for Loyd. Nike’s ZoomX cushioning in the midsole ensures superior responsiveness and energy return, allowing for explosive movements on the court. The paint-splatter effect dominates the upper, resembling a creative brushstroke across the shoe. The tongue and toe box feature muted tones to balance the bright splashes of color, while the white Swoosh outlined in blue adds a clean contrast. The sockliner, laces, and heel accents further enhance the multi-color theme, giving the sneaker a unique, statement-making look.

Exclusive Player Edition Details

As a Player Exclusive, the Jewell Loyd GT Cut 3 “Paint Splatter” includes special details that set it apart from general releases. The insole features a “1 of 1” logo with “Player Exclusive. Not For Resale,” reinforcing its rarity. Every aspect of the sneaker exudes exclusivity, from its premium materials to its meticulously designed color scheme.

Nike’s “Silver” Air Max Sunder Gets a Full 3M Upper

Nike has brought us a handful of fresh and OG colors for the Air Max Sunder already this season, but some fun twists are on the way soon. Check out the new “Silver” pair, with a fully 3M reflective upper.

Nike is clearly preparing for a big year for their recent Air Max Sunder retro, with more colors filling out their release lineup on a weekly basis. After the initial rollout in classic neons, followed by a Gore-Tex pack, more styles are emerging regularly, including new denim and premium leather varieties. This week, a new “Metallic Silver” style has emerged, adding even more 3M panels to the retro runner.

Nike’s latest addition to this year’s Air Max Sunder lineup goes all in on the reflective materials. While the shoe has always had a healthy dose via the plastic mudguard cutouts, the “Metallic Silver” pair goes overboard with the entire upper featuring a reflective textile for an eye-catching look. The rest of the shoe comes in black, with a white midsole underneath to balance things out a bit.

NIKE AIR MAX SUNDER “SILVER” RELEASE INFORMATION

Nike’s upcoming “Silver” style of the Air Max Sunder retro does not have a release date yet, but is currently expected to release sometime in Summer 2025. The silver and black look with a fully reflective upper will be available from both Nike’s SNKRS app and select retailers with its new price tag of $180.

Each year, Nike rolls out a handful of special releases for Air Max Day, their annual celebration of the beloved sneaker line. Last year’s launch was the Dn, of Dynamic, which debuted new tubes of Air cushioning running through the heels.

In 2025, Nike is expected to launch a successor to the Dn, the Dn8, for their Air Max Day release. We’ve seen a handful of different colors so far, but this week brings us an official look at the model through the Swoosh’s in-house images. Nike’s Dunk And Air Force Pack Nods to the 2000 All-Star Game

The NBA All-Star Game is coming up this weekend, and Nike has cooked up pairs of the Dunk Low and Air Force 1 in a special colorway for the occasion. The two styles celebrate the Bay’s last hosting gig, the 2000 All-Star Game.

All-Star Weekend is one of the best weeks for sneaker releases every year. This year, Nike has a ton of heat in store for the Bay Area and beyond, with Galaxy Foams, Bred 1 ’85s, and the Black Label collection all on the way later this week. However, they’ve also crafted an incredible two-pack of the Dunk Low and Air Force, which celebrate the last time the Bay hosted the ASG in 2000.

The 2000 NBA All-Star Game was just ahead of the We Believe-era Warriors, but borrowed the team’s colors at the time to create the special logo for the celebration. Nike has referenced that logo in their new All-Star Pack, featuring the AF1 and Dunk lows. Both pairs feature accent colors in University Gold and Light Crimson, mimicking the gradient of the logo. The Dunk comes in a Pale Ivory leather base, while the AF1 is dressed in a cool navy blue shade.
