The NBA All-Star Game is coming up this weekend, and Nike has cooked up pairs of the Dunk Low and Air Force 1 in a special colorway for the occasion. The two styles celebrate the Bay’s last hosting gig, the 2000 All-Star Game.
All-Star Weekend is one of the best weeks for sneaker releases every year. This year, Nike has a ton of heat in store for the Bay Area and beyond, with Galaxy Foams, Bred 1 ’85s, and the Black Label collection all on the way later this week. However, they’ve also crafted an incredible two-pack of the Dunk Low and Air Force, which celebrate the last time the Bay hosted the ASG in 2000.
The 2000 NBA All-Star Game was just ahead of the We Believe-era Warriors, but borrowed the team’s colors at the time to create the special logo for the celebration. Nike has referenced that logo in their new All-Star Pack, featuring the AF1 and Dunk lows. Both pairs feature accent colors in University Gold and Light Crimson, mimicking the gradient of the logo. The Dunk comes in a Pale Ivory leather base, while the AF1 is dressed in a cool navy blue shade.
