After last year’s popular release of the adidas Consortium x Overkill EQT “Coat of Arms” pack, the two German brands have teamed up for an extremely limited EQT 93/17 celebrating the city of Berlin.

Berliner Verkehrsbetriebe, or BVG for short, is a German public transit company that owns and operates most of the transit in the city of Berlin. Given the history behind the brand with the Three Stripes and Berlin, as well as Overkill’s place as a consortium account, this collaboration pays an interesting homage to the city. Both the insole and the TPU plastic cage that provides support along the heel and ankles are covered in the famous pattern that covers the BVG’s subway car seats. On the medial side, this support plastic covers a clean white leather panel that is embroidered with a yellow heart, along with several black rectangles and circles, another detail taken directly from the shoe’s inspiration. The rest of the mesh upper is black, with a suede panel on the lateral side to provide visual texture. The yellow laces, complete with “BERLIN” lace locks, partially cover an authentic BVG ticket placed over the tongue, which allows the shoes to act as a valid BVG ticket until December 31st, 2018.
