Last year, adidas hosted a competition for fans to vote on their favorite new sneaker designs from their Consortium collaborators, releasing winning pairs slowly over the last year. This week, the releases come to a close with Offspring final champion, the Response Ozweego.
The Consortium Cup from adidas was a first-of-its-kind release from the Three Stripes last year. Similar fan-voted contests have taken place before, like Nike’s version in the SNKRS app that brought back some classic colors and models. The Cup was different in that the shoe’s had never been released before, and the voting took place based on mockups from each of their Consortium partners. Over a dozen shoes have been released so far as a part of the project, and this week, it comes to a close with the final champion, Offspring’s Response Ozweego.
London retailer Offspring has produced some spectacular projects with adidas Consortium over the years. Several entries from the Consortium Cup run have already released, and this week brings an end to their hot streak on an incredibly high note with the Response Ozweego. This pair takes some inspiration from the British pound bill, using its signature green shade for their accent color. The rest of the shoe mixes off-white, tan, and grey shades across its layered upper for a subtle neutral color scheme.
OFFSPRING X ADIDAS RESPONSE OZWEEGO RELEASE INFORMATION
The latest collaboration from London’s Offspring and adidas, the winner of last year’s Consortium Cup, has been scheduled to release tomorrow, August 3rd, 2024. Pairs of the final champion style will be available from the retailer’s website, releasing around midnight tonight for $180. Hopefully, adidas will release their own stock of the shoe via the Confirmed app soon.
