Alife’s penchant for classic skate shoes has led them to collaborate with all kinds of brands, though somehow they always find their way back to adidas. Next month, the two are teaming up for a minimal take on the Nizza Hi.

adidas’ archive of skateboarding shoes has been on fire recently, thanks to the new project with Donald Glover as well as their recent 4/20 Sambas. Now, adidas Skateboarding is handing the keys off to the Consortium sector for a new project with Alife New York. Working with the classic Nizza Hi silhouette, Alife has created a minimal new look for the shoe with a few colorful, but optional, branding accessories.

The Alife x adidas Consortium Nizza Hi begins with a soft grey tone for the classic canvas upper. The Three Stripes are just barely present, swapped for a simple stitched outline instead of a stiffer overlay. Plain white rubber toe caps and midsoles round out the silhouette, with the addition of bold Alife branding on the medial side and Consortium tongue tags. The shoes also come with a trio of red, white, and blue rubber bracelets that can be wrapped through the heel tab to show off the “A way of life” slogan printed around them.

Alife’s latest project with adidas Consortium is scheduled to release next month on May 11th, 2019. The unique but minimal take on the Nizza will go for a cool $130, and release from both the New York boutique and select retailers.
