Expanding their “United by Sneakers” campaign, adidas will be taking a trip to California and dedicating an NMD_R1 to the city of Los Angeles.
We’ve already taken a look at the Tokyo, Munich, and Mexico City editions and it’s only right Los Angeles joins in on the mix. The edition arrives in Collegiate Navy, Silver Metallic and Scarlet, for an iteration that arrives perfect for the 4th of July. The sneaker features a navy primeknit upper which calls for tonal Three Stripes branding on the side paneling and tonal accents on the heel clip and lacing system. Likely the highlight of the design is the Boost midsole which red and navy both share time on for a split-look while white EVA plugs accent and showcase a Los Angeles spell out and adidas branding. A black rubber outsole then finishes off the LA inspired look.

The adidas NMD_R1 “Los Angeles” will release later this month in a couple of days on May 19th, 2020 at select retailers and adidas.com for a slightly elevated retail price of $140.
