adidas and White Mountaineering are back for another entry in their longstanding collaboration. This time, the Japanese outdooring company is back to work on adidas Originals silhouettes, transforming the new LXCON with wild materials and hardware.

White Mountaineering has always used their collaborations with adidas to provide intrepid takes on immensely popular Three Stripes silhouettes. This week, the Japanese outdoor label used their SS20 fashion show in Paris to show off their latest with with the German Sportswear giant. Models on the runway were spotted wearing a White Mountaineering-branded adidas LXCON in two colorways, one primarily in navy blue and the second in shades of brown and orange. While the silhouette still closely resembles the original, WM has added some of their usual design choices, extending the Three Stripes to become part of the lacing system, as well as stretching down to the midsole. The laces themselves have been replaced too, instead locking down the wearer via a system of buckles. Finally, bold White Mountaineering branding along the heels completes the look.

White Mountaineering’s latest project with adidas Originals has not yet been announced for release, though they are expected to arrive alongside the Japanese outdoor brand’s Spring/Summer 2020 collection. The special edition LXCON will likely retail much higher than its usual $130, and drop from both adidas and select retailers.
