Stella McCartney’s vegan adidas Stan Smith is back. After a year in absence, the animal-friendly sneaker returns next month in a classic colorway, and rebuilt to match McCartney’s other design ventures.
Stella McCartney’s partnership with adidas began back in 2004, just three years after establishing her own fashion house of the same name. Now, 15 years later, the long-term project is still issuing new collections regularly. Thanks to adidas’ performance sports knowledge, the collaboration serves as Stella’s sportswear line, giving women more stylish options for their exercise gear. As with her standard designs, McCartney’s projects with adidas are completely leather and fur-free due to her lifelong vegetarianism, which has resulted in some interesting products, including a vegan leather Stan Smith in 2018. Now, a full year later, Stealla & co are retruning to the vegan Stan Smith with a colorful new look next month. Taking the classic Stan in white, the latest McCartnet version adds a faded eggshell sole for a vintage look, and replaces the star-shaped perforations with Stella’s signature stars. The heels strips of black knit fabric for some added texture, while rainbow laces add just a touch of flare. Finally, Stella McCartney’s face on the tongue completes the look.

Stella McCartney’s next Vegan adidas Stan Smith has been scheduled to release next month on December 2nd, 2019. The all-faux-leather construction will come with a hefty retail price of $300, and will be available from Stella McCartney’s website and select retailers worldwide.
