Stella McCartney and adidas have been crafting some of the most unique releases to include 4D over the past several years, and they are just getting started. This week, the two unveiled the next Stella AlphaEdge 4D, featuring a new see-through knit upper.

Stella McCartney’s take on the adidas AlphaEdge 4D has been evolving steadily over the past few years after its initial debut in 2019. Constructed from vegan materials, the high-end version of the Three Stripes’ most advanced technology takes another interesting twist this season with the addition of a transparent knit upper. Moving away from the two-piece, high-top design from previous releases, the new Stella McCartney AlphaEdge 4D drops the top in favor of a low-cut runner shape. Mixing the new knit textile with leather additions, this AlphaEdge 4D gives you a better look at the interior functions thanks to a translucent thread used to create the flexible upper, while plain white leather additions add shape and rigidity to the heels and laving systems. Finally, the new design is completed by the usual “Aero Green” 4D midsole.

Stella McCartney’s next colorway of her signature adidas AlphaEdge 4D has not yet been announced for release, though they are likely to drop sometime in the coming weeks. The sleek new look will likely come with the usual price tag of $300, though this is not an unusual price for adidas’ 4D technology.
