adidas’ winning sneakers from the Consortium Cup tournament will begin to rollout this month, with Sneaker Politics’ colorful take on the Samba landing on shelves next week.
Back in February of this year, adidas announced their Consortium Cup, a knockout-style tournament for sneaker design featuring submissions from 16 partner stores in the Consortium program. After four weeks and four rounds of voting, a number of pairs were approved for release, which are now beginning to pop up. This week, Sneaker Politics’ take on the Samba has emerged, and is expected to drop in the next few weeks. The eccentric look begins with a bright blue nylon base layer, adding a dark navy blue suede to the shoe’s lacing system and toe caps. Red leather hits are added to the stripes and heel heel counters, while a bright green tongue adds another color to the palette. Finally, a cheetah print inner lining and footbed complete the look.
