size? and The Brand with The Three Stripes look to team up on the new Ozweego silhouette that debuted this year. This edition calls upon natural elements surrounding the Oswego Lake in Portland Oregon and uses them for an earthy inspiration.
British retailer size? is no stranger to a meaningful colaboration as we have seen them add some crazy takes on some silhouettes in the past. This time they spent some time on the new adidas Ozweego, to shed some light on the beauty of Earth’s natural elements. Although adidas did not name the Ozweego after the Lake Oswego in Clackamas County, Oregon, the two similar names peaked the curiosity of size?. As the Lake has some of the best views in America, the beauty that is found at the specefic location has inspired an arrange of colors and designs on the Ozweego that no matter where you’re located in the world, you can carry Lake Oswego on your feet at all times.
First off, the base colorway appears to be a red maroon that is bark inspired as a nod to the overwhelmigly large amounts of Western Red Cedar trees that can be found in Clackamas County. Reminiscent to the Lake itself, the leather tongue and padded lining take on a crystal cool aqua blue. Topping it all off, an earthy gum hue is featured on the suede overlays that add just a bit of grit to the silhouette.
As always Three Stripes branding can be found on the midfoot, but dressed for the ocassion they take on an unusual look. They feature a woven design that is an ode to the region’s century-spanning history, celebrating the creative patterning produced by the Clackamas County indegenious people. The geometrical patterns used can be traced all the way back to cave paintings, stonework and fabrics that were created years and years ago. An earthy tan midsole and gum outsole complete the wildnerness exploration but one last added feature adds a spark to the model. 3M detailing can be found all throughtout, so when the sun sets and the night time begins, you can be safe no matter what.
