The collaboration between adidas and The Simpsons is adding a new piece soon, transforming the classic Superstar into a plushie version of the Simpsons’ family cat Snowball.

Last year, adidas Originals announced a partnership with The Simpsons, kicking things off with a special-edition “Krusty Burger” version of the ZX10000. Since then, the two have gone on to release a number of sneakers themed after classic Simpsons characters and events, everything from the “Squishee” Superstar to the “Flanders” McCarten. Now, after a short hiatus, we have our first look at the next entry in the series, which transforms the Simpsons’ cat Snowball into the adidas Superstar. While details are scarce surrounding the shoe and its release, we can clearly see the Superstar’s upper has been transformed, practically into a plushie doll of Snowball’s head. The upper is constructed entirely from a soft, fleece-looking textile, with Snowball’s eyes, nose, and mouth stretching across the front of the shoe. The tongue has been extended to form ears, while the heel counter adds a short tail to complete the look.

The next Simpsons’ themed release from adidas Originals, the “Snowball” Superstar, has not yet been scheduled to release, though we expect them to droop sometime in the coming weeks. Practically a plushie in shoe form, the Snowball themed sneaker will likely come with a price tag in the range of $120. Check out the official images below for a better look at the Flanders-themed shoe, and stay tuned to JustFreshKicks for more adidas release news.
