Pharrell Williams’ partnership with adidas is ever-expanding, and this week’s leak adds a new silhouette to their arsenal. First debuted earlier this year, the adidas 4D Runner Mid returns with tonal colorways and new Hu branding.

Pharrell Williams has lent his name to a number of adidas projects in the past few years, with 2019’s “Now is Her Time” featuring the widest array of Hu footwear yet. Now, just weeks after the collection’s debut, a new leak shows of Skateboard P’s next project with the Three Stripes: 4D. Created through a collaboration with Carbon3D, adidas 4D technology has slowly been gaining market share over the past year as the technology becomes more available. Now, the Three Stripes is handing the reigns over to Pharrell and his Hu team to kick things into overdrive.

Pharrell’s first use of the 4D midsole technology will use the adidas 4D Runner Mid as a canvas. First debuted earlier this Summer in a special Consortium release, the silhouette combines the famous knit upper of the Ultraboost Mid with the printed lattice soles for an impressive look. As per usual, Pharrell’s Hu line will use tonal colorways in its debut, decking out the 4D Runner Mid in eye-catching olive green and purple tones. While most tonal Hu releases tend to match the midsole to the color of the upper, the process of dyeing 4D is complicated, and therefore it will remain in its native pale green tone for this release.
