Pharrell Williams’ collection with adidas Originals is expanding exponentially this year. With the launch of the colorful “Holi” collection behind us, we now have a great look at the next part of the series; the Pharrell x adidas Afro Hu NMD.
Pharrell’s signature line of NMD sneakers with adidas has gone global in 2018. After the “Holi” pack took Skateboard P and the Three Stripes to India, they are currently gearing up to release their new Chinese-exclusive pack. Then, as we reported earlier this year, the Pharrell Afro Hu NMD will release worldwide, celebrating African heritage. Earlier this week, our good friend GodLVL returned to Instagram to share a look at the pack’s third colorway, after already revealing in-hand images of the first two.
This time around, the Pharrell x adidas Afro Hu NMD surfaces in an excellent Aqua & Orange color scheme. The upper begins with the light blue tone, mixed with strips of static black & white. The signature Hu NMD cage comes in a deep purple hue, while the trail outsole and laces provide a bit of orange trim. For this collection, new details have been added like a rainbow polka-dot collar-lining, and a small string of beads spotted on the heels of some pairs. Finally, this aqua Afro Hu NMD is finished by the words “MB3L3 M1L3L3”, a powerful Swahili phrase meaning “Forever Forward.”

The next Pharrell x adidas Hu NMD collection coming to the United States will launch on August 18th, 2018. The wild Afro Holi collection will continue with the shoes $250 price tag, and release from both adidas and select retailers.
