The “Reverse Neon” Nike Air Max 95 is a MoMA Exclusive

Nike is celebrating the Air Max 95’s thirtieth anniversary this year, and rolling out tons of new styles for the occasion. This week, during an Air Max Day event, a new “Reverse Neon” pair surfaced, hopefully coming soon.

The Air Max 95 was originally conceived in the early 1990s, from designer Sergio Lozano, then a member of the Nike ACG team. The shoe was inspired by human anatomy, particularly the spine, which is present in its wavy, layered upper. With the model turning thirty years old in 2025, Nike has remastered the shoe with a bigger Air bubble and plenty of new and OG colorways, but a never-released look, originally from early sketches, has surfaced this week.

During an Air Max Day event in Los Angeles this week, Dom Kennedy appeared in a Complex video to talk about the AM95. Keen-eyed viewers may have noticed an unusual, never-before-seen colorway on his feet, which we are referring to as “Reverse Neon”. The pair comes from Sergio Lozano’s early sketches of the shoe, and would eventually release as the classic Neon look we know and love today. however, this pair flips the color blocking, with the lower layers in white before becoming dark grey at the top of the shoe, instead of the bottom.

NIKE AIR MAX 95 “REVERSE NEON” RELEASE INFORMATION

Nike’s new colorway of the Air Max 95 only appeared this week, and no solid information about the “Reverse Neon” look is available yet. However, with 2025 being the shoe’s thirtieth anniversary, we hope to see this unique pair arrive sometime later this year. Pairs will likely release in limited numbers from Nike and select retailers for $190.

Where to Buy the A Ma Maniére x Air Jordan 3 “Diffused Blue”

A Ma Maniére is still wrapping up their “While You Were Sleeping” project, but already has new Jordan collabs lining up for Spring 2025. This week, another new style of the Air Jordan 3 has surfaced, sporting a “Diffused Blue” color scheme.

James Whitner’s A Ma Maniére brand has built a strong relationship with Jordan and Nike over the last few years, after their first release of the Air Jordan 3 in 2021. That pair was massively popular, crowned as one of the shoes of the year at the time. Since then, they have continued to drop regular releases with the Swoosh and its subsidiary brands, mainly focusing on Jordans.

This week, another new pair of the Air Jordan 3 has surfaced from AMM, supposedly arriving in Spring of 2025. The new look sticks to their usual color blocking, but appears to have some minor construction changes, mainly, a slimmed down and deconstructed collar. Cast in white leather with black suede accents, the main draw here is the muted “Diffused Blue” shade that adds just a touch of color to the eyelets, heels, and branding elements.

A MA MANIERE X AIR JORDAN 3 “DIFFUSED BLUE” RELEASE INFORMATION

The latest colorway of the Air Jordan 3 designed by A Ma Maniére has not been announced for release yet, but is currently penciled in for a drop March 2025. The “Diffused Blue” style will likely be available from both AMM stores and online, as well as a wider release from Nike and select retailers for $225.

Taiwan’s INVINCIBLE Takes on the adidas Handball Spezial

adidas’ Consortium program gives its members the reigns to create nearly anything they can imagine with Three Stripes sneakers. This season, Taiwanese retailer Invincible is back with a new project, featuring a luxurious Handball Spezial.

The Consortium program from adidas goes through waves of activity over the years. The label is exclusively given to retail stores to create exclusive sneaker releases, with almost no limit to what they can do with their projects. The program was huge in the late 2010s during the Boost boom, and saw an uptick in activity last year with the Consortium Cup, a fan voting contest for new releases.

This week, we have an early look at a new Consortium release coming up, this time from Taiwanese boutique Invincible. Their silhouette of choice for this project is the Handball Spezial, giving the shoe a new reconstructed look with luxurious materials and a simple neutral color scheme.

The shoe features a plain white leather base, removing the stripes in favor of perforations to denote the adidas branding. The model’s overlay panels all have revised edges, giving them the appearance of being hastily hand cut before being sewn in. Toes and heels feature suede accents, while gold foil Invincible branding completes the look.

INVINCIBLE X ADIDAS HANDBALL SPEZIAL RELEASE INFORMATION

The new collaboration from Consortium member Invincible and adidas is finally releasing this week, on April 11th, 2025. This will be followed by a global release from adidas and select retailers on April 19th. Pairs of this special release will be available from retailers like Sivesdescalzo, with a price tag of $185.

UPDATE 4/8/25: This week, Invincible has announced the release of their adidas Handball Spezial pack, now featuring a second colorway in black, with cracked leather uppers. The pairs seen here appear to have been worn and aged for editorial purposes, and will likely resemble the fresher white pair below.

BEAMS x New Balance 1000 Black Pack Releases This Week

Japanese streetwear label BEAMS is coming to America this year, kicking things off with a Los Angeles pop-up store this week. To celebrate the occasion, they’ve teamed up with New Balance for a two-piece “Black Pack” of the 1000 runner.

BEAMS was founded all the way back in 1976, operating as a purveyor of American goods by importing our fashion and lifestyle objects to Japan. The obsession with Americana has been rampant in Japan since that era, and BEAMS stood at the forefront of swapping cultural artifacts between our two nations. The label has expanded over the decades, and now includes its own fashion line rooted in classic American garments, as well as a wide range of collaborations with US brands.

This season, BEAMS is opening their first stateside location, which kicks off this week with a special pop-up store in Los Angeles. To celebrate the opening, they’ve teamed up with New Balance for a special project, taking on the 1000 runner and designing two unique all-black pairs. The first pair leans into synthetic materials, merging patent leather overlays with a rubberized base layer, while the second is more natural, mixing a breathable mesh with suede panelling.

BEAMS X NEW BALANCE 1000 “BLACK PACK” RELEASE INFORMATION

The upcoming release from Japan’s BEAMS and New Balance will be available this week, starting April 10th, 2025, at the label’s pop-up store in Los Angeles. PAN Records’ Nike Air 180 Surfaces in a Gold “Nix” Style

Nike’s new record label collaborations continue this month, with a release fro Berlin’s PAN Records featuring the Air 180. Today, a second color has surfaced, coloring the shoe in golden tones and currently dubbed “Nix”.

Last month, Nike teamed up with London-based record label Apron to release two special-edition styles of the Air 180. What seemed like a one-off collaboration at the time appears to have been the beginning of a globe-trotting string of releases, as PAN Records from Berlin is releasing their take on the 180 this week. The style arriving on the SNKRS app Saturday comes in all-black, but today, a second pair of the project has surfaced.

PAN Records’ take on the Air 180 tones down some of the details of the shoe, making the upper more minimal, adding a taped mudguard and molded heel counter, and casting the entire shoe in a tonal color scheme. Following their all-black look, a new golden style has surfaced today. This follows suit with Apron’s release, which surfaced in the green color scheme before they unveiled a F&F maroon style shortly after. PAN’s “Nix” style is likely a limited release as well, though no official conformation has been given yet.

PAN RECORDS X NIKE AIR 180 “NIX” RELEASE INFORMATION

The next Nike Air 180 release from a record label, this time Berlin’s PAN Records, has been scheduled to release next week, on April 12th, 2025. The blacked out pair will be available from both partners, though the golden “Nix” style seen here has not yet been confirmed to be available to the public.

Story mfg. Asics GEL-Venture 6

London’s Story MFG. is returning to the sneaker game this month, teaming up with Asics to deliver two styles of the GEL-Venture 6 trail shoe. Featuring a seemingly picnic-inspired vibe, both pairs will make their debut this week.

Story mfg. is a unique brand out of London, England, focused on bringing a positive, sustainable spin to fashion. The brand abides by a manifesto, which contains sections on supporting the arts, reusing waste, respect of animals, anti-racism, embracing synthetics, rejecting chemicals, and much more. This month, Story is teaming up with Asics to release a new sneaker collab featuring the GEL-Venture 6. 0

Asics is once again reaching into their archives to inspire a new silhouette for their SportStyle casual catalog. The GEL-Sekiran combines elements of three different performance running shoes, and will launch in two colorways for Spring 2025.

Asics has been a powerhouse over the last few years when it comes to casual, sporty sneakers. The Japanese brand has infiltrated every level of fashion through their vintage footwear styling, combining mesh and synthetic elements for that perfect Y2K-era look. Their shoes have been adopted by high fashion and Gen Z, and will continue to be dominant in 2025 with the introduction of a new model, the GEL-Sekiran.

The new GEL-Sekiran silhouette is another amalgamation of several previous Asics performance running shoes. The upper of the new look combines elements from three styles, the Nimbus 13, and the Cumulus 12 & 17. The midsole tooling comes directly from the Cumulus 17, and combines soft, bouncy foam elements with GEL cushioning inserts. The model will make its stateside debut soon, with two colorways to start. One pair comes in black with a bright “Waterfall” teal blue accent, and the second in white with a “Lapiz Lazuli” blue accent.

Nike’s “Hyper Violet” Air Max Sunder Available Now

With Nike’s revival of the retro Air Max Sunder in full swing, new styles of the sleek runner have continued to surface for 2025. This week, another gradient pair has emerged, dressed in a “Hyper Violet” purple fade.

Nike has completed their initial rollout of the Air Max Sunder this season, marking the shoe’s first release since its introduction in the early 2000s. The retro runner made its 2024 debut in a handful of neon colors before Nike gave us a Gore-tex-lined collection for the Winter. Now, new styles for 2025 have been emerging, giving us some excellent new color to look forward to in the new year.

The latest addition to the growing slate of colors for 2025 is a new “Hyper Violet” take on the vintage model. Borrowing a gradient upper from some previous pairs, this look starts with a light Hydrangeas purple at the toes, before transitioning to a more vivid Hyper Violet shade at the heels. This is framed by a black mudguard with silver accents, and a white midsole to complete the look.

The Air Jordan 1 ’85 Surfaces in a “UNC Metallic” PE

0

Jordan Brand has a long history of producing ultra-limited player-exclusive sneakers, given to their signature athletes and friends of the brand. This week, a new “UNC Metallic” pair of the Air Jordan 1 ’85 has surfaced, though it will not get a public release.

In 1985, when the Air Jordan 1 made its debut, many of the shoe’s colors worn by Michael later saw public releases, and are still iconic forty years later. Then, in 1994, Nike and Jordan began an entirely new tradition in footwear, the player-exclusive model. They drafted custom pairs of the Air Jordan 9 which were given to six hand-picked NBA players, creating ultra-limited styles that would never see a public release. That tradition carries on to this day, with the occasional wide release of some iconic colors in the last decade.

Earlier this year, the Air Jordan 1 High ’85 surfaced in a player-exclusive “Chicago” style, a true grail for collectors. While the “Bred” pair released to the public in February, we still have no word on a possible Chicago release. Fast-forward to now, and another extremely rare PE has surfaced, a “UNC Metallic” AJ1 ’85. Sourced by English Sole, there are believed to be less than twenty-five pairs total of this gorgeous color scheme, which is not currently expected to ever hit retail shelves. Mixing a flat white with a metallic version of UNC blue, these will remain a grail for years to come.

The latest colorway of the Air Jordan 1 High’s retro ’85 edition is not currently expected to release, unfortunately. The vintage inspired- UNC Metallic look is likely a player exclusive, given to friends & family of Jordan Brand, though we could potentially see an unexpected drop this Summer or next year.
