New Balance’s Dresses Their 991v2 in “Slate Black”

New Balance’s 991v2 has been an essential piece of the brand’s catalog since its introduction in late 2023. This week, a new style of the Made in England runner has surfaced on release calendars, dressed in a “Slate Black” (brown) suede.

New Balance has been on a roll with their 991v2 this year, the updated version of the 2001 running shoe. The model has been a hot canvas for their collaborative efforts since its introduction late in 2023, and has filled out their in-line Made in England catalog with some stunning new colors each season since, making it one of the most abundant premium NB sneakers as of late.

This week, another fresh edition of the 991v2 has hit our timelines, expected for a late summer release. This pair has a somewhat baffling name for its primary color, Slate Black, which appears to be a smooth chocolate brown shade instead. The look features a soft, ever-so-slightly mauve tone for the mesh base, adding accents in Alloy grey. The black (brown) color makes up the shoe’s suede exterior layers, while an olive green heel clip completes the look.

NEW BALANCE 991V2 “SLATE BLACK” RELEASE INFORMATION

New Balance’s latest style of their Made in England 991v2 has not been given a global release date yet, but is expected to hit shelves sometime in Summer 2025. The new color scheme features “Slate Black” suede (it’s brown but whatever) paired with a white and Alloy grey base, and will come with a price tag of $250.

Chase B x Jordan Jumpman Jack Releasing October 2025

Travis Scott is bringing his friends along with him on his journey with Nike and Jordan Brand. This week, information about a collaboration from producer/live DJ Chase B has surfaced, featuring a new Jumpman Jack colorway for late 2025.

Travis Scott’s signature first all-new models from his deal with Nike and Jordan brand are both finally out in the world. The Jumpman Jack made its debut last Summer, with the Zoom Field Jaxx trainer following in late 2024 with a special ComplexCon exclusive release, before finally going global this month. Now, it appears Scott is giving some of his friends their shot at releasing sneakers, starting with his producer and live DJ, Chase B.

Reports of Chase B’s take on the Jordan Jumpman Jack arrived this week, from sneaker leaker SneakerMarket.RO from Romania. The model will not be the first three-way collab from Travis Scott, and will hopefully give us a fresh and exciting take on his Jumpman Jack silhouette. The color palette consists of a black base with silver and black as secondary tones, adding Illusion Green and Coral Chalk as brighter hits to finish the look. No photos are available yet, but the speculative mock-up seen above is looking pretty good so far.

CHASE B X JORDAN JUMPMAN JACK RELEASE INFORMATION

The first-ever sneaker release from Chase B has not been announced in any capacity yet, but is currently expected to release later this year during the holiday 2025 season. Featuring the Jordan Jumpman Jack model in black with green and coral accents, pairs will be available from Nike for $200.

The Air Jordan 1 High is Getting a “Khaki” Look in Summer 2026

Speculative mockup

The Jordan release calendar for next year is, as usual, full of incredible releases. This week, a new leak has added yet another sneaker to our watch list, dressing the high-top Air Jordan 1 OG in a new Khaki palette.

The past few years have been an interesting case study in Nike’s releases of the Air Jordan 1 High. For most of the last twenty-five years, Jordan brand has kept the AJ1 as a protected model, limiting color and material options for themselves and collaborators. This oversight ensured that almost every release this century has been a certified banger, but changes in Nike’s upper echelons in the late 2010s saw those protections lifted or adjusted, and a wave of new takes hitting shelves, like Travis Scott’s reverse Swoosh styles.

This year, Jordan Brand is celebrating forty years of their iconic Air Jordan 1, and rehashing some of their most beloved styles for the occasion. However, in recent earnings calls Nike has stated plans to scale back releases of the shoe, similar to the overflow of Dunks we’ve seen since 2020. However, they will not disappear completely. This week, we have early information regarding a new “Khaki” colorway of the model, arriving next Summer. The pair will come in a mix of khaki and olive green shades paired with a simple white base, and if they look anything like the mock-up seen here, will be a hit.

AIR JORDAN 1 HIGH OG “KHAKI” RELEASE INFORMATION

The latest edition of the Air Jordan 1 High OG to emerge is not scheduled to release until sometime in Summer 2026. Dressed in a mix of Khaki and olive green over a sail white base, pairs will be available through both Nike and select retailers, with an expected price tag of $200.

The 2025 Air Jordan 8 Retro “Aqua” is Now Available

Jordan Brand is bringing back the iconic Air Jordan 8 “Aqua” in May 2025. This beloved colorway first debuted in 1993 and has seen several re-releases, with the last iterations appearing in 2007 and 2015.

The 2025 re-release promises to stay true to the original design. Expect the classic combination of Black, True Red, Iron Grey, Bright Concord, and Aquatone. The pair features a black nubuck upper, complemented by vibrant aqua and purple accents. These colors adorn the midsole, outsole, and signature chenille tongue patch. The midsole also includes the distinctive splatter paint design seen in previous versions.

Nike’s experimentation with unorthodox colorways in the early ’90s aimed to expand beyond the typical Chicago Bulls palette. The “Aqua” colorway stands out as one of the three original releases from 1993. This return marks a significant addition to the long list of classic Jordans expected next year.

Where To Buy the Air Jordan 3 “Starfish”

Air Jordan releases for Summer 2025 are starting to pile up, with new pairs surfacing and official looks at leaked models finally hitting online. This week, we have an official look at a new Air Jordan 3 “Starfish”, coming in July.

The Air Jordan 3 is one of the essential flagship Jordan Brand models. The first seven of Michael Jordan’s signature shoes are often cited as the best, though mileage may vary on the order they are sorted into. However, the AJ3 is typically high up in a collector’s list, thanks to many iconic on-court moments and the shoe’s timeless style. Over the years, the silhouette has appeared in hundreds of colors and special releases, and this Summer, JB is giving us a new twist on the classic.

The upcoming “Starfish” colorway of the Air Jordan 3 brings some new materials to the shoe’s construction. Subtitled TEX, likely short for textile, this pair ditches the standard leather construction in favor of a rugged canvas material, though suede still appears on the shoe’s mudguard panels. The majority of the upper comes in a Fossil tan shade, which we’ve seen on a number of Stüssy releases, with a Starfish orange accent around the collars, heels, and toes. This shade is most notably borrowed from the “SBB” Air Jordan 1.

AIR JORDAN 3 “STARFISH” RELEASE INFORMATION

The new release of the Air Jordan 3 is expected to arrive this Summer, on July 18th, 2025. The new TEX format, which constructs the upper from canvas and suede comes in Fossil tan and Starfish orange for this release, and will be available from both Nike and select retailers for $200.

Saucony’s “Glowaconstrictor” Pack Brings Snakeskin to the ProGrid Omni 9

0

Saucony is joining the Year of the Snake sneaker theme a bit late this year, but the extra is no matter when you pull up with the “Glowaconstrictor” pack. Check out the three ProGrid Omni 9 colors, coming soon.

Saucony has been on the up and up over the last few years, ramping up their collaborative efforts and expanding their lifestyle line to include retro product. One of our favorite models that has returned to their catalog recently is the ProGrid Omni 9, a flagship running shoe from 2010 contructed with a mesh and synthetic upper for a light and breathable fit. The silhouette has been the canvas for a number of recent special projects, including an incredible Footpatrol collab, and this week has surfaced in its own in-line Year of the Snake collection.

Typically, releases celebrating the Zodiac calendar come out in January or February, coinciding with the Lunar New Year celebration. Saucony is a bit late to the party, but is showing up in style with their “Glowaconstrictor” pack. Featuring the ProGrid Omni 9 in three styles, each look adds a snakeskin pattern to come of the overlay panels, along with iridescent logos and colorful accents. Each pair features a heavy dose of black for the construction, but adds green, purple, or blue options for us to choose from.

3Sixteen Encourages You to Dye Their Saucony Peregrine 15 “Gesso”

0
Undyed Saucony Peregrine 15 Gesso sneakers – pre-dye version from 3Sixteen

Denim brand 3Sixteen is releasing their first collaboration with Saucony this week. Featuring the Peregrine 15 trail shoe in “Gesso” off-white, the project encourages you to make the shoe your own by providing a blank canvas for creativity.

3Sixteen is first and foremost a denim brand, but their offerings have expanded dramatically over the years to include all manner of apparel and accessories. They have dabbled in the world of footwear before, with their widest release being a Crocs “Dylan” clog last Summer. This year, they have entered the world of performance sneakers, teaming up with Saucony to deliver their version of the Peregrine 15 trail shoe. Inspired by a blank canvas, the “Gesso” style is made for you to put your own spin on the project, and we got the chance to do just that through San Francisco design brand DSPTCH, a longtime collaborator of 3Sixteen. They got the chance to dye a few pairs of the shoe pre-release, and we tagged along to participate and have a conversation with Johan Lam, a founder of 3Sixteen.

Dyed Saucony Peregrine 15 Gesso sneakers by 3Sixteen in warm earth tones

Speaking to Johan, he told us about the process behind the collaboration, discussing the ‘blank canvas’ idea and the Gesso name. The name comes from a primer used by artists to prep their canvasses before painting, and nods to the blank state the shoe comes in before applying colors or regular wear and tear take hold. He added that each material was chosen specifically for how it takes on dye in different shades, as you can see with the pairs we helped dye below. Each pair was dip-dyed in a single color, but turned out in a variety of tones and hues across the different materials. Pairs also come packaged with three sets of laces, each in one of the off-white shades seen across the Peregrine 15.

For their release of the “Gesso” Peregrine, 3Sixteen teamed up with Green Matters Natural Dye Company in Amish Country, Pennsylvania. The two created a range of four colors for the project, releasing yellow and indigo blue pairs as an early drop last week. They will follow up later this month with the “Granite” grey and “Rubia” red styles through a limited release later in July.

Nike Will Celebrate Kobe’s 81 Point Game With An Anniversary Kobe 1 Release

Nike Kobe 1 Protro 81 Points IM0542-100

Next year marks twenty years since Kobe Bryant’s electric 81 point game performance. Nike is planning to celebrate the occasion with another release of the Kobe 1 he wore, set to arrive on the anniversary of that game.

Kobe Bryant set a lot of records during his time in the NBA, and was known as one of the most lethal players to ever grace the professional court. In 2006, Kobe put up one of the most shocking stat lines in modern basketball, dropping a whopping 81 points against the Raptors. At the time, he was still wearing his then-brand-new Nike Kobe 1, the silhouette that began his remarkable Nike partnership, and has returned in recent years in their Protro format.

Next year, Nike is set to celebrate that iconic game’s twentieth anniversary, rereleasing the Kobe 1 colorway he wore on the court. We last saw this pair release in 2019 (seen below), when they first rolled out the Performance Retro edition. This version upgraded the older shoe with modern day tech, making them wearable on court once again.

Nike’s release of the “81 Points” edition Kobe 1 Protro is currently expected to arrive on january 22nd, 2026, the twenty-year anniversary of his legendary game. The Nike Daybreak Returns in New Colors for Summer 2025

0

Nike’s Daybreak silhouette is an essential part of their early history, helping to cement the brand’s reputation for performance and innovation. This month, the model returns after several years’ hiatus, with new colors for Summer 2025.

Nike came to fruition as a brand in 1964, changing their name from Blue Ribbon Sports. Originally, the brand was a distributor of imported running shoes before founders Bill Bowerman and Phil Knight began experimenting with making their own sneakers. Fast forward a few years to the ’70s, and Nike was building quite a lead in the field of performance innovation. In 1979, they introduced the Daybreak at the height of the running boom. The super slim model became a fan favorite, and regularly returns to the Nike catalog to this day.

The last time we saw new releases of the Daybreak was back in 2021. The shoe’s return had started a few years earlier in 2019, through collaborations with Sacai and Undercover that renewed interest in the shoe among sneakerheads. Now, Nike has crafted two new pairs of the Daybreak for their Summer 2025 catalog, giving us another chance at the iconic and slim sneaker in fresh colors. First up is the “Limelight” style, which pairs a neon green nylon base with jade green suede overlays and bright orange Swooshes. The second pair is much cooler, pairing shades of Blue Void and Diffused Blue with metallic silver Swooshes.

NIKE DAYBREAK SUMMER 2025 COLORS RELEASE INFORMATION

Nike has scheduled their new colorways for the classic Daybreak to release this month, on July 29th, 2025. Arriving in “Limelight” and “Blue Void” colorways, pairs of the 1979 runner will be available through their SNKRS app for a new price tag of $105.
