Nike Embraces “Panda-Monium” With a Blind Box Dunk Pack

0

Nike is jumping into the blind box craze and celebrating the Dunk’s fortieth anniversary in one fell swoop. The “Panda-Monium” pack will feature one of two colorways hidden inside, coming this Fall.

The Nike Dunk has been everywhere for the last five years. Back in 2020, Nike opened the floodgates for the beloved model, releasing hundreds of colorways over the next several years. The move was made to appease the growing trend of sneakers, outfitting the mass markets with one of the most sought-after silhouettes of the past two decades. Since then, new Nike leadership has announced the model will be scaled back going forward, but 2025 marks forty years of the model, and that calls for celebration.

To honor forty years of the Dunk, the Swoosh has a special collection on the way. The project, dubbed “Panda-Monium”, embraces the meme of Panda Dunks taking over street style by issuing a huge range of colors centered around a panda theme. We’ve covered a few of them so far, like the plain black & white and team red styles. Now, a special-edition set has surfaced, which will arrive as a blind box release. The two pairs add boucle textile to the shoe’s outer layers, dressed in either a plain black and white or a “Curry Green” edition. Both styles feature a rainbow of added colors, and come with multiple lace options. Each pair is also packed in a special shoe box that can be cut and folded into a small pen cup or planter box.

NIKE DUNK LOW “PANDA-MONIUM” PACK RELEASE INFORMATION

Featuring a blind box release for the two styles seen here, pairs will likely be available exclusively through Nike for the model’s 40th anniversary for $135 each.

Nike Drafts a Limited Edition Air Max Craze for Marseille, France

Nike has occasionally paid homage to Marseille, France, through special footwear releases. This Summer, the project returns with an ultra-limited style of the Air Max Craze retro, coming soon.

Nike’s love of Marseille, France, is a somewhat unexplained phenomenon. The Swoosh has released a small assortment of goods dedicated to the city, but we’re not sure what exactly compels them to do so. The stunning city on the south coast of France is colloquially known as the European Capital of Culture, which likely has something to do with it, or their light and breezy blue and white colors are perfect for Summer sneakers.

This week, Nike teased a new special release for Marseille through the SNKRS app. This new release follows up on a similar Air Max Plus from 2023, but this time the Air Max Craze retro is their canvas. Cast in a sail white color scheme, this pair is constructed from a light, airy mesh. Paired with the slingback heel, they practically make the sneakers a chunky pair of sandals. Light blue details adorn the Nike branding and interior, which also adds the Marseille coat of arms and individual numbering. This style is limited to just 1,013 pairs worldwide.

NIKE AIR MAX CRAZE “MARSEILLE” RELEASE INFORMATION

Nike’s new limited-edition release for Marseille, France, does not have a set release date yet, but is likely arriving sometime this Summer. Limited to just 1,013 pairs, the sail white Air Max Craze will likely be available exclusively in France, given its specificity to Marseille. No pricing information for this limited release is currently available.

Ja Morant Teases a “Logo Pack” of His Nike Air Force 1 Low

0

Ja Morant and Nike are going crazy with their footwear releases this year. In addition to the debut of the Ja 3, the two have cooked up a range of special Air Force 1 styles, now including a two-piece logo pack set for a Fall release.

The upcoming Nike Ja 3 has been all over our feeds for the last month. The model officially debuted during a SNKRS Showcase this month, with launch dates for the initial wave of styles. Since then, more and more colorways of the exciting model have popped up, but that’s not the only shoe Ja Morant is releasing this year.

Last month, we got our first look at an Air Force 1 Low in a bright “Sundial” gold style with Ja’s logos. Now, Morant himself has teased more styles of the iconic shoe with his logo all over them. Two pairs were shared this week, both sporting some unique new details for the low-top basketball shoe. First up is the denim pair, which appears to be a part of the NY vs. NY series. This look pits the upper in a light wash denim from toe to heel, with his signature claw marks splitting the textile to reveal a logo pattern layer underneath. This leads directly to the second pair, which features this rainbow logo print across a white leather base. Both pairs feature thick rope laces and gum soles.

Nike SB is hard at work on their lineup of new releases for 2025. This week, the first images of a new Dunk Low ISO have surfaced, giving the shoe a clean “Cool Grey” color scheme with black accents and a gum sole.

Nike SB continues to create the best version of the iconic Dunk Low, with their fat tongue and modified midsole for better performance on a skateboard. Different variations of the shoe have come over the years, each with their own exclusive nature. The hardest pairs to find are the ISO series, releases that are deemed “in-store only”, meaning they can only be found in person at skate shops.

The pair is cast in a “Cool Grey” color scheme, with a construction of suede underlays and nubuck overlays. Swooshes and midsoles come in plain black, with a light gum outsole to complete the look.

First Look at the Eric Koston x Nike SB Air Max 95

Rumors about Nike SB releasing their take on the Air Max 95 have slowly solidified over the last six months.. Today, we have a look at a special-edition pair of their version, in partnership with Eric Koston and arriving late 2025.

Eric Koston is one of the most legendary skaters in the world, an essential part of the history of the sport, as well as Nike’s SB division. Koston joined the team back in 2007 after departing from Lakai, he had several pairs of the Dunk Low before Nike released his first signature model, the Koston 1, in 2011. Several more pro models would release in the years to follow, some pushing the boundaries of what a skate shoe was, like the Koston 3 Hyperfeel, which incorporated a Flyknit ankle collar borrowed from soccer shoes.

Koston has also been apart of several crossover releases under the Nike banner. The first of these releases was his Nike SB x Air Jordan 1 Low in navy blue in 2019, followed by another UNC pair a few years later. Now, Koston is lending his name to the upcoming SB Air Max 95. His take on the classic runner-turned-skate shoe borrows the fan-favorite “Michigan” color scheme. The look starts with a Summit White shade for the top half of the shoe, changing to obsidian blue for the shoe’s lower wavy sections, using a mix of suede, nubuck, and leather. Yellow accents make up the tongues, branding, and Air bubbles, while his name replaces the Air Max branding on the right tongue.

Nike ACG’s Rufus Mule Gets a “Green Gradient” For Fall 2025

0

Last year, Nike’s ACG team revived another of their archival silhouettes, the Rufus. The simple mule silhouette has quietly been hitting shelves in new colors since last Summer, and will continue into Fall 2025 with styles like this “Green Gradient” look.

Nike’s recent SNKRS Showcase events have been giving us valuable insights into what the Swoosh considers to be some of their seminal works, in addition to what to look forward to in the next calendar year. During one of these livestreams early in 2024, the brand showed off the ACG Rufus, a 2001 mule-style slipper from their outdoor division. The Rufus finally hit shelves in the Summer, giving us an excellent casual/outdoor hybrid shoe for the warmer months.

Since the return of the Rufus last year, the ACG team has quietly been pumping out new colors, trying out new materials and more. This week, we have an early look at a new style slated for release this Fall, in a “Green Gradient” look. The pair uses the model’s denim construction, using a solitary piece of fabric to create the entire upper of the silhouette. The color change starts at the toe in neon green, bleeding into a darker Kelly green towards the midfoot, and finally grey wrapping around the heels. This is mounted on a black midsole, with a final hit of Volt for the outsole traction.

NIKE ACG RUFUS “GREEN GRADIENT” RELEASE INFORMATION

Nike ACG’s retro release of the early ’00s Rufus slip-on will continue throughout the year, with this new style currently expected in Fall 2025. Dressed in its denim build with a green to grey gradient across the upper, pairs will be available from both Nike and select retailers for $110.

Last month, we had our first look at a new Nike shoe coming this Summer, the Ava Rover. The simple, runner-inspired shoe is the next step in the brand’s lifestyle offerings, and has now surfaced in a “Wolf Grey” color scheme coming soon.

Nike is gearing up for the introduction of a brand new model to their catalog, the Ava Rover. The new silhouette first appeared last month, through a collaboration with Korean fashion label Hyein Seo, which debuted overseas last week and will make its way to US retailers soon. Shortly afterward, JD Sports’ UK division uploaded official images of three colors for the Ava Rover to their backend, which inevitably hit sneaker blogs like us soon after. Now, as we await the shoe’s formal debut, a new colorway has joined the initial launch lineup.

This week’s addition to the Ava Rover release lineup is another neutral look for the tech runner-inspired silhouette. however, this pair errs on the lighter side, cast in a fan-favorite “Wolf Grey” shade. The shoe’s thin, flexible upper comes almost entirely in two shades of pale grey, with a darker, almost black “Charred Grey” making up the mudguards and full-length ReactX midsoles. Small hints of Sundial orange appear on the tongue branding and rear pull tabs.

0

Nike Basketball is entering a new era this year with an exciting wave up brand new silhouettes. This week, their fourth edition of the GT Cut line has surfaced, worn by Paige Bueckers during a WNBA All-Star practice in “Persian Violet”.

Nike has been on a journey to reinvigorate their performance basketball line over the last few years. The ball division is one of Nike’s most iconic product lines, thanks to their legendary Air Jordan line that began back in 1985. The heyday of Nike BBall was arguably the late ’90s, but they’ve had their moments in the decades since, with another one seemingly on the horizon. This month, the basketball team took over their SNKRS Showcase livestream series, showing off upcoming product and special retros, but they kept a few things behind the curtain for later unveilings.

One of those special pairs they saved for a rainy day was the next evolution of their GT Cut, the model’s fourth iteration. The product line has been one of their main basketball silhouettes over the last few years, and their GT Cut 4 brings some interesting new design language to the model. The new look appears to take come cues from the GT Future, another new model coming later this year. The Cut 4 has a molded upper with a ripple effect around the lower edges, which blends seamlessly into the midsole unit, similar to the Future. Very few part lines and stitching are seen on the model with the exception of one seam running down the toes.
