New Jersey’s Packer Shoes has been working collaboratively with adidas for nearly a decade, producing unique releases on a regular basis. This week, the retailer shared an early look at their take on the FYW Intimidation, coming soon.

Last year, Packer Shoes contributed to the revival of the Forum with a collection of three clean colorways of the retro basketball model. Now, their latest project has been unveiled by the store’s head buyer, Victor Kan. This release highlights the late-’90s FYW Intimidation, the model that directly inspired the Yeezy 500, and saw a retro release back in 2020 but has remained dormant since. Shown in two color schemes, the Packer version of the silhouette comes in light and dark palettes. The first comes in a greyscale look, featuring grey mesh and darker grey suedes, along with a cream white plastic cage and matching sole unit. The dark pair features a navy blue base with overlays in grey and black, as well as a striking maroon suede collar.

Packer’s latest project with adidas has not been announced for release, though Kan did state that both pairs would be coming soon. Launching in both light and dark color schemes, pairs will likely be available first from the Packer website followed by a wider release from adidas themselves, with an estimated price tag of $160. UPDATE 5/5/23: Packer and adidas released their latest project today, featuring two colorways of the retro FYW Intimidation silhouette. Both the ‘Stone Grey’ and ‘Tech Ink’ color schemes are available now in a wide range of sizes for $140.
