New Balance is preparing pairs of the 990v4 to join their popular Made in USA line, with several already in the works. Today, we got an early look at a ‘Purple’ suede pair, coming soon.
The New Balance Made in USA program has seen a major bump in popularity, thanks in part to creative direction from Teddy Santis of Aimé Leon Dore. Since he took over as the lead of the premium line, we’ve seen an uptick in regular releases, adding new styles to the 990 family frequently over the past year. While they focused largely on the 990v1, v2, and v3 models in that time, it appears they are gearing up to add the 990v4 to their offerings, which we first saw in a plain grey style this week. Now, a much brighter look has surfaced, casting the silhouette in lush purple suedes. Utilizing a navy blue mesh base and mid layers, as well as silver metallic ‘N’ logos, pairs are rumored to arrive in Spring 2023.
