New Balance’s Made in USA releases are becoming more frequent, as the project led by Teddy Santis continues to gain steam. This week, the 990v2 has surfaced in a clean ‘Black’ colorway, dropping next week.

Teddy Santis and New Balance continue to line up new releases of their Made in USA project, feeding the frenzy of fans looking to grab one of the elusive 99x silhouettes. With a new 990v1 lined up to release next week, today we have our first look at a new pair of the 990v2 that will release alongside it, coming in a smooth black colorway to counter the string of lighter neutral-toned colors we’ve seen thus far. The new look begins with an off-white mesh base layer, with a dark grey suede midlayer added to the toe box. The v2’s signature overlays are added in an inky black tone, contrasting the white laces and canvas tongue at the shoe’s center. The New Balance ‘N’ logo comes in black with a white outline, while a light brown heel tab and olive outsole hit complete the look.
