New Balance has unveiled their full collection of Lunar New Year apparel and sneakers this week, including colorways of the 2002R in Rich Earth brown and Concrete grey, coming soon.
2023 is almost here, bringing with it plenty of new sneaker silhouettes and squeezing out a few more releases of popular models. This week, New Balance unveiled their extensive collection of shoes for the Lunar New Year, the first major ‘sneaker holiday’ of each year. The Boston brand has gone all in so far, with pairs of the 550, Protection Pack 2002, 9060, and matching apparel making up this year’s releases. Additionally, the standard edition of the 2002R will be joining the project, releasing in two clean colors for the occasion. First up, the ‘Rich Earth’ color scheme features a dark grey mesh base with lighter shades for the mid layers, while smooth brown suedes cover the outermost layers of the silhouette. The Concrete pair is more simple, mixing cream white underlays with a pale grey outer shell. Both pairs feature red New Balance branding on the heels to complete the look.

New Balance’s extensive Lunar New Year collection has been scheduled to release this week, on December 30th, 2022. Featuring a range of both apparel and sneakers, including these two colorways of the 2002R, pairs will be available via their website with a price tag of $150 for both the white and brown color schemes.
