New Balance continues to add new colorways to their extensive Protection Pack series, including both the 2002R and 1906D silhouettes. This week, a lilac & grey colorway of the 2002R surfaced, coming later this year.

New Balance’s Protection Pack release from last year featuring the 2002R was a massive hit, making its way onto a number of ‘Best Of’ lists for the year, even as an in-line release. While numbers were somewhat limited and incredibly hard to get, the brand has plenty more colors on the way, with several already popping up at various global retailers. This week, we got an early look at another new style for the project, casting the 2002R in a ‘Lilac’ color scheme. The pair begins with a faded purple mesh base layer, and numerous layers of rough suede in light and dark shades of grey across the upper. Two-toned grey midsoles underfoot and cream white laces complete the new protection pack 2002R look.
