The National Park Foundation’s take on the adidas ZX 8000 first debuted last Fall, in a bright purple and orange Joshua Tree-inspired look. Now, the outdoor-ready version of the vintage runner returns in the new year with a colorway inspired by Yellowstone National Park.
adidas Originals revival of the classic A-ZX series continues into the new year, with the first release of 2021 already on the horizon. Aside from this, the adidas Originals team appears to have struck up new relationships along the way, including their new partnership with Lego, and now, an ongoing team-up with the National Park Foundation. Last year’s ZX 8000 “Joshua Tree” was the first installment of the collaboration, now being followed up by a “Yellowstone” colorway of the National Park Foundation ZX 8000, which features outdoor-inspired materials like Cordura nylon and a button snap and webbing loop on the inner collar. The “Yellowstone” colorway of the ZX 8000 features a dusty orange Cordura base layer, with off-white suede overlays along the mudguard and heel, while darker brown shades mix into the mid-layers. Baby blue accents strike a strong contrast for the lacing, Three Stripes, and webbing loop, while National Park Foundation branding on the tongues, insoles, and heels completes the new look.
