adidas has a new project on the way in December from two of their creative partners, Naked and Maha. Both stores are focused on women’s sneakers and apparel, and have teamed up for a special release of the Samba Millennium.
European retailers Naked and Maha are teaming up for a new collaboration with adidas this season. The two stores are cut from the same cloth; sneaker and apparel retailers that were started to provide greater offerings in the women’s side of streetwear that is often neglected by brands. Naked started in 2004, and Maha in 2015, but both have already become go-to destinations for their in-store experience.
Their new project with adidas features the Samba Millennium, a beefier version of the classic trainer originally built for tennis and releases in 2009. The three-way collab gives the shoe an elegant upgrade, constructing its upper from premium leather and adding wavy, flower-like stitching patterns across the whole shoe. Cream white stripes and a gum sole break up the all-black design, while suede heel tabs and leather rope laces tied into bows complete the look.
