Mountain Research and Reebok have reunited for another iteration of their DMX Trail Shadow, which sees MR designer Kobayashi Setsumasa diving further into his exploration of contrast and dichotomy, with the new Ivy-inspired “Pure Grey” colorway.

Reebok and their new partners Mountain Research have been on a hot streak in 2020, releasing a number of projects throughout the year, all working on different Reebok sneakers. First up was the DMX Trail Shadow, presented in a smooth golden wheat colorway, followed by Mountain Research’s interpretation of the monstrous Alien Stomper. Just last month, the two shared a first look at their upcoming Classic Leather in tonal colorways, while this week, Mountain Research announced the next project, another colorway of the DMX Trail Shadow. The next collaborative colorway of the rugged sneaker paints the entire silhouette in a shade of “Pure Grey” from heel to toe, covering everything from the suede base to TPU cage and inner lining. Because this release further examines themes of anarchy and dichotomy, the inner tongue tags display some of the Japanesee brand’s founding principals.
