The goat Mark Gonzales is back with a brand new adidas Superstar as the skateboarder/artist provides his popular Shmoo logos on the shoe for its 50th Anniversary.
The Gonz has definitely made his mark on the street-wear and skateboarding world. From most notably working with Supreme New York just about ever season and working with adidas in the past, he’s back for the 50th Anniversary of the adidas Superstar and what he has in store is one of his best works with adidas.
Keeping the classic look, the Superstar arrives with a usual white leather upper while a creamy off-white shell toe matches perfectly with rubber midsole and outsole. Gonz vibes are then felt as his famous Shmoo logos grace the upper in suede embellishments as two are placed in smiling on the lateral sides and two more are placed on the medial side paneling frowning. Other updates the Gonz has approved is the usual branding is absent on this new iteration as the contemporary overlay Three Stripes branding has been removed and Stan Smith styled branding is placed in along with no tongue and heel branding as well.

The Mark Gonzales x adidas Superstar “Shmoo” has been scheduled to release April 24th via adidas UK so a release in the states can come very soon on adidas.com. The pair will also feature a slightly elevated retail price than usual with conversion being around $106.
