Mark Gonzales and adidas Skateboarding created the Aloha Super back in 2018, and have subsequently used the sneaker to celebrate some of the Gonz’ historic moments, like this black pair celebrating the famous Städtisches Museum performance.

The adidas Aloha Super seems to only release once a year. Originally debuted in 2018, the skate-ready silhouette from Mark Gonzales and adidas Skateboarding was released in a simple black and white color scheme in extremely limited numbers. The release largely flew under the radar, despite being headline news to fans of the Gonz as well as savvy sneakerheads. Over a year later, Mark and the adidas team released their second colorway, a cream look with black stripes remembering his famous Wallenburg Ollie for a 1991 Blind video part. Now, a few months and a new decade later, the Aloha Super returns, this time in a stealhty black color scheme similar to a leather jacket Mark wore during a recreation of the legendary Städtisches Museum performance from 1998. The look features a black suede base, reinforced heavily by dark grey suede and leather around the mudguard and heel. The Aloha Super’s aggressive predator-inspired stripes come in black, while Gonz’ Shmoofoil logo and initials are embroidered on tongue and heel in vibrant purple.
