Kid Cudi and adidas are finally teaming up for an officially sanctioned project. While the Cleveland rapper has worked with the Three Stripes in the past, the new announcement means we’ll soon be seeing Cudder’s own signature collection.

The first time that we saw adidas work with the legendary Kid Cudi is still fresh in our minds. The Tresc Run, championed by the Asterisk Collective, is meant to represent adidas’ community outreach geared towards mental illness, a world that the Ohio-born artist is deeply immersed in. However, the seeds had been planted long before then. Last year, during the Three Stripes 343 Warehouse event in Los Angeles, Kid Cudi was one of the headlining performers of the weekend. Since then, Mr. Rager has made an appearance at nearly every adidas event since. Now, we know why.

Very little is currently known about the new creative partnership between adidas and Kid Cudi. Other than the logo used to announce the new project, which features a woman’s head half covered by a burning moon, we have no indication as to what these two are working on. Appearing on all of the social media posts as well as banners and posters put up throughout some of adidas’ capital cities, the new look is almost definitely burned into the memory of Cudi’s fans already. However, given the graphic reliance of a logo like this, we expect it to be featured on a number of different apparel items, if not printed on footwear as well.

The announcement of a collaboration between adidas & Kid Cudi has been a long time coming, as evidenced by their partnership together through the Asterisk Collective. While we have no timeline for the first signature Cudi collection, we are anticipating a release sometime before the end of 2019. Keep an eye out for more of the burning moon logo, and stay tuned to JustFreshKicks for more Kid Cudi x adidas news.
