Kerwin Frost is at it again. Perhaps the most eclectic collaborator currently working with adidas, the designer and talk show host has previewed his next Three Stripes footwear project: the MicroBounce T1.
Kerwin Frost and adidas are bringing their partnership into 2022. Originally announced in 2019, the last two years have seen explosive growth in the output from Kerwin and adidas, racking up special collaborations in that time. Projects have included everything from a Superstar made to look five times bigger to an one-piece Three Stripes yeti tracksuit, Kerwin Frost’s adidas projects are probably some of the most out-there collaborations we’ve seen in a long time (though the Forum High with added eyes, nose, and mouth gives me nightmares.) This week, Frost shared a look at what he has in store for the new year, which appears to be building on the fuzzy Yeti costume they released late in 2021. Featuring the adidas MicroBounce T1, a marvel in footwear technology from 2008, Kerwin has transformed it into a yeti of its own right, with a fully fuzzy blue upper accented by silvery stripes and Kerwin’s signature bubble logo branding.
KERWIN FROST X ADIDAS MICROBOUNCE T1 RELEASE INFORMATION
The upcoming project from Kerwin Frost and the adidas Originals team, featuring a bright blue version of the MicroBounce T1, has not yet been announced for release, but, given Kerwin’s penchant for sharing things early, we expect them to launch in Spring 2022. This pair will likely be avialable via adidas’ Confirmed app, with a price tag in the $180+ range. UPDATE 7/8/22: adidas and Kerwin Frost have finally teed up their Microbounce T1 collaboration for release, scheduled to drop on July 13th, 2022. Arriving in both the fuzzy blue color scheme as well as a new rainbow look, both pairs will be available from adidas and select retailers with a price tag of $220.
