Kanye West’s return to Twitter has to be causing some adidas executives a fair amount of stress by now. In the last few weeks, the Grammy-winning artist has shared multiple photos of new styles, including our best look at the Yeezy Boost 700 V2.

Kanye West is the all over the world right now. Following his Twitter feed has been a rollercoaster for some, but those patiently waiting for Mr. West to share more early images were rewarded today. After Ye’ shared a top-down view of the new adidas Yeezy Boost 700 V2 last weekend, he returned to his favorite social media platform to share a close up of the unreleased shoe. The new picture simply shows the lateral side of the new silhouette on a shelf but provides all the details we need to make up our minds about the sneaker.

The adidas Yeezy Boost 700 V2 retains much of the same profile as the last year’s original iteration. The new version uses the same outsole as before and reworks the entire upper for a more layered look. Unlike the original 2017 pair, the 700 V2 uses a neoprene-looking material for the base of the shoe, with a new system of suede and tumbled leather overlays. The toe box on the new model is slightly more jagged, and the sides feature long strips for support just above the sole, similar to the Yeezy 500. The lacing system is similar to the original, though the central eyelets are instead loopholes. Three new stripes have been added to the quarter panel, in a material that looks like it could be reflective 3M. Finally, the adidas Yeezy Boost 700 V2 is completed by several suede layers on the heel to provide a more stable, cupped feel, as opposed to the single piece on the original model.

The adidas Yeezy Boost 700 V2 is still largely under wraps by the Three Stripes. However, with Kanye himself seemingly taking the mantle of leaking his own footwear and apparel, we know that the new colorway has been approved for Q4 2018. Check out Kanye’s early images below for a better look, and stay tuned to JustFreshKicks for more adidas Yeezy news.
