JJJJound and New Balance are reuniting for another entry in their beloved 99x series this year, continuing to utilize the 990v3 as their canvas, this time dressed in a simple olive & black color scheme.

The partnership between Canadian basics brand JJJJound and New Balance began back in 2018, when the two released their insanely popular 990v3. Since then, the two brands have continued to release fan-favorite projects on a yearly basis, keeping things in the 99x family with each new drop. This week, JJJJound teased their next collaboration with the Boston footwear manufacturer, showing off a clean new olive & black color scheme of the v3. Seemingly the preferred silhouette of designer Justin Saunders, this pair features a largely olive-colored upper, broken up by black mid layers, New Balance logos, and a solid black midsole. As with previous releases, this v3 is expected to release in fairly limited numbers, a side effect of its (likely) Made in USA status.

The latest project from New Balance and Canadian brand JJJJound, the olive & black 990v3, has not yet been announced for release, though they are expected to launch sometime in Spring 2022. Pairs will likely release first from JJJJound, followed by a wider release from NB, retaining the $240 price tag of previous releases. UPDATE 5/5/22: New Balance and JJJJound have settled on a release date for their latest 990v3, scheduled to debut next week on May 12th online at 12pm ET before a wider NB release on the 18th. As per usual, we expect this new colorway to come with a price tag of at least $240.
