Back in October, Montreal’s JJJJound and New Balance teamed up to release their first pair of the 2002R in ‘Storm Blue‘. Now, they are gearing up for a new green colorway of the shoe’s Gore-Tex variant, coming soon.
JJJJound’s collaborative releases with New Balance have become a staple of their seasonal drops, adding new and interesting styles to some of the brand’s most popular silhouettes. This season, the two debuted their first pair of the 2002R, a retro runner New Balance has leaned heavily into over the past few years. Now, just two months later, the two are gearing up for a second release of the silhouette, this time in its Gore-Tex-equipped variant. Seen in some leaked photos, the shoe’s take on a mix of black and green shades, beginning with a black mesh base layer and leather mid layers. The outer suede panels feature a lush dark green color, while a black midsole and speckled rope laces complete the new look.
