The adidas Yung-1 has been one of the brand’s most popular lifestyle models since its introduction last year. Now, the silhouette will finally be getting the Consortium treatment, thanks to an assist from Taiwan’s INVINCIBLE boutique.

The adidas Yung-1 has spent about a year on the adidas Originals roster, and in that time has gathered a few collaborations to boast about. However, the refurbished retro sneaker is still looking to break one last barrier, and release in a special Consortium-constructed colorway. This limited edition release sees adidas’ specialty division teaming up once again with Taiwan’s INVINCIBLE, who they last worked with on the adidas 4D Runner.

The INVINCIBLE x adidas Consortium Yung-1 is a brilliant new look for the 90s silhouette. Dubbed the “Yung-Stud”, the shoes various bright colors are directly inspired by heat vision, and the colors used to indicate different temperatures. The base layers of this pair come in plain white, layered with a smooth brown tone around the midfoot and toes. The heel sections come in bright yellow, matching the tongue labels and forward piece of the outsole, while teal and light blue make up the inner lining. Tiny red accents are found on each heel and outsole to complete the look.

adidas Consortium’s latest project with Taiwan’s INVINCIBLE store is scheduled to pre-release first on May 4th, 2019, followed by a global drop shortly after on May 18th. The multi-colored adidas Yung-1 will likely go for somewhere above the silhouette’s usual $130, and release from both adidas and select retailers.
