The adidas Superstar continues to launch in exciting new iterations since its 50th anniversary celebration last year. Today, the Three Stripes unveiled Las Vegas Raiders’ Henry Ruggs III’s signature take on the classic shoe, coming soon.
adidas Originals Workshop series has remained relatively dormant so far this year, after the debut of the new project earlier this Summer, in the form of the adidas Superstar. Now, the Workshop series is making a return, this time titled the Workshop 2, and adding a new collaborator in Henry Ruggs III, the Las Vegas Raiders’ wide receiver. The special-edition release features a bold blue suede for the silhouette’s base layer, attached via golden zig-zag stitching placed intermittently around the shoe. The Three Stripes come in white suede, also adorned by gold stitching, while a white terry fleece inner lining and fleece tongue labels add some comfort to the design. HRIII gold foil branding is found on either white, while a cream-white suede lacing system completes the look.

Henry Ruggs III’s upcoming project with adidas Originals, featuring the Superstar, has been scheduled to release later this month, on September 22nd, 2021. Lined with french terry and constructed from suede, the limited-edition shoes will be available directly from adidas with a price tag of $100.
