Hello Kitty has a new sneaker partnership with adidas, releasing several collaborations over the last year. Next month, they’ve lined up two new styles, a pair of the Gazelle, and now, a pair of the Adistar Cushion complete with Kitty’s signature red bow.
Hello Kitty was one of the first brands to jump into sneaker culture, all the way back in 2004. The cartoon cat mascot, created in 1974, had her first sneaker with Nike, putting her face and bow on the (at the time) new Air Presto. After reviving that release in 2022, Sanrio, the creating company of Hello Kitty, moved onto a partnership with adidas which began in 2023.
This year, Hello Kitty and adidas are back with two new releases featuring the cartoon mascot on two different sneaker options. The first is a pair of the Gazelle, and this week, an Adistar Cushion has surfaced as a part of the project. The base sneaker is cast in a white color scheme with accents in quartz pink and black. The main feature is the two dozen or do rubberized red bow ties, which are added in small groups around the shoe.

The next release from Hello Kitty in collaboration with adidas has not been officially announced yet, but is expected to arrive on October 1st, 2024. Featuring the Adistar Cushion, pairs will be available from both adidas and select retailers alongside the upcoming Gazelle.
