adidas Originals is traveling to Brazil this week, teaming up with fashion brand FARM Rio for a detailed take on the women’s Advantage. Featuring embroidered symbols of Brazilian culture, the Farm Advantage drops globally in the coming weeks.
Brazilian fashion brand FARM Rio is teaming up with adidas this week, giving their interpretation of the women’s Advantage tennis silhouette. Born in 1997 in Rio de Janeiro, FARM started out as a simple clothing stall, selling bright and intricate patterns that represented the colorful spirit of the country. That same style is captured on their adidas Advantage shoes, through detailed embroidery of some of Brazil’s most eyecatching residents. Along the medial side, a toucan is added towards the rear of the shoe, alongside a handful of flowers. Moving further back to the heel, there is an eye and a palm tree in bright colors, and finally, along the lateral side, several lightning bolts and a leopard hidden among some flowers. Combined with a premium leather construction, the FARM Rio adidas Advantage is coming soon.
FARM RIO X ADIDAS ADVANTAGE “BRAZIL” RELEASE INFORMATION
The first project from adidas Originals and FARM Rio has already made its debut overseas, and is still available from adidas stores in Asia, while a drop in the Americas is anticipated for some time in the coming weeks. The artfully embroidered iteration of the women’s Advantage will be available from adidas and select retailers for $130, to account for the detailed stitching.
