adidas’ new project with anime Dragon Ball Z is anything but a secret by now. The collection is set to begin its launch cycle this week, and with it, we have a look at the third installment in the series, scheduled to drop in November.
adidas’ new project with Dragon Ball Z has drawn up a lot of hype in the last few weeks. With the initial pairs slowly rolling out online, and official images quickly following, fans now have a good idea of what to expect from the collection. This week, however, details on each shoe were busted wide open when early product images for each pair were posted online. With Cell & Gohan’s sneakers surfacing earlier today, we now have a look at Vegeta’s Ultra Tech and Majin Buu’s Kamanda, expected to drop in November.
Vegeta’s themed pair of the adidas Ultra Tech might be one of the most well-designed pairs in the collection. The classic Three Stripes silhouette begins with a deep blue mesh for the lower layers, accented by white stripes on either side. The toe box on this pair features beautifully quilted gold suede, which can also be seen covering the tongue. Off-white paneling covers the medial and lateral shanks, while a black and white Dellinger web midsole completes the look.
The reworked version of adidas’ terrace trainer begins with a soft pink hue for the suede upper, paired with a translucent grey rubber gum sole. The leather detailing around the Kamanda comes in black, while tiny hits of yellow complete the look, along with Majin Buu and Mr. Satan-related insignias on the tongue, heels, and outsoles.

The third installment in Dragon Ball Z & adidas’ collaborative sneaker series is now scheduled to release on November 24th, 2018. The “fight” representing Vegeta and Majin Buu/Mr. Satan has not been priced for consumers quite yet, though they will most certainly release from both adidas and select retailers.
