Virginia Beach’s Commonwealth-FTGG has been steadily releasing new projects with adidas over the past two years, joining the ranks as a top collaborator. This week, the retailer is releasing its take on the Response CL, featuring a new asymmetrical colorway.
Virginia Beach-based retailer Commonwealth has been ramping up their partnership with adidas in recent years, becoming a part of the Consortium family and releasing a number of elevated collaborations along the way. Now, the two are back with their latest work ready to release, this time taking on the new Response CL in an asymmetrical color scheme inspired by the spirit of discovery. The special-edition runner begins with a soft white mesh base for the upper, layered with leather and suede overlays that come in white along the lateral sides, and switch to a palette of earthy tones like tan, carbon, olive, and orange for the medial paneling. The dual-color scheme is a nod to the collaboration’s idea of ‘discovery’ in an age where information is readily available at your fingertips.
