CLOT has had a strong start to their new partnership with adidas, releasing a number of the classic silhouettes with extensive changes to each. The latest is their woven take on the Gazelle trainer, which has surfaced in a new linen khaki & Blue Bird color scheme, launching next week.
The fresh partnership from Edison Chen’s CLOT and adidas has brought us some interesting new takes on classic Three Stripes sneakers since their debut this Spring. Formerly a longtime partner of Nike, CLOT ended their engagement with the Swoosh late in 2023, already working closely with adidas to craft their unique spins on some iconic silhouettes. Releases started with an upscale version of the Superstar this Spring, followed up by a woven Gazelle in early Summer. Now, another pair of the Gazelle has surfaced for an upcoming release, with some slight changes from its debut.
CLOT’s take on the adidas Gazelle is probably one of the most intricate versions of the shoe we’ve ever seen. Their version gives the shoe a woven upper, paired with minimal leather paneling, beaded Three Stripes, and a woven leather midsole to match its homemade look. For their latest colorway, they’ve also added collapsible heels so the shoe can be worn as a full sneaker or a slip-on. This pair comes in a linen khaki tan shade, with bright “Blue Bird” beading to add some color.
CLOT X ADIDAS GAZELLE “BLUE BIRD” RELEASE INFORMATION
The next release from Edison Chen’s CLOT and adidas has been scheduled to release later next week, on August 23rd, 2024. This drop features the Gazelle, in a unique knit and beaded construction that was previewed late last year. The shoe comes in a “Linen” off-white color scheme with bright blue, and will be available through adidas’ Confirmed app for $160.
