The adidas Consortium Series is having quite a year. While most of the releases have gone relatively under the radar, they are nothing short of marvelous. This month, Bodega announced their contribution- a Kamanda and Sobakov perfect for Fall fashion.
The latest installment in adidas’ Consortium series sees the German sportswear giant teaming up with Boston’s Bodega for a brilliant new take on two soccer-inspired silhouettes. Starring the Kamanda and Sobakov, two brand new casual silhouettes for 2018, Bodega’s Consortium Series entry for this year is a very well-thought-out project. Playing off of both silhouettes roots in soccer as well as casual lifestyle, they are bringing two brilliant new sneakers to the table.
The adidas Kamanda has been an interesting new silhouette to follow this year. Originally released in the Spring in just two colorways, the premium terrace trainer has been missing from retail shelves ever since. Now, Bodega is giving us a wild interpretation for the Kamanda’s first collaboration. The suede upper has been swapped out for a black nylon material instead, ditching the perforated stripes and replacing them with smooth suede instead. With a terry cloth tongue and bright orange inner lining, the Kamanda is a great addition to a fall wardrobe.
The adidas Sobakov has also taken on an eye-catching new look with Bodega’s assistance. Beginning with a light tan colored upper, the quilted material has added extra stitching to help reinforce specific areas of the toe box. The Predator-inspired stripes on the sides come in grey, while their sharp tips come in reflective 3M. Also featuring a bright orange inner lining, both pairs are finished off by dual adidas & 06 Bodega branding on the tongue, and the Bodega logo visible through each semi-transparent outsole.

Bodega and adidas are set to release their latest premium collaboration on September 1st, 2018. The Kamanda and Sobakov from the new pack will retail for $170 and $150 respectively, and launch from a wide range of Consortium accounts at a later date.
