Blondey McCoy first announced his partnership with adidas Originals a full year ago, with the release of his see-through Superstar. Now, the British skater-turned-fashion magnate is back with another edition of his plastic shoes, this time in a soft “Starlight Blue” colorway.

22-year-old Blondey McCoy has made quite a name for himself in recent years. After gaining fame on Instagram as a street skater, the London resident quickly found himself modeling for a number of different high-profile brands, as well as designing his own clothing and accessories. Fast forward a few years, and McCoy has formed a unique bond with the adidas Skateboarding sector, one that came to fruition this month with the appearance of a new signature model. Helping to kick off the 50th-anniversary celebration of the Superstar late last year, Blondey’s Superstar flipped the classic model with a new translucent PVC upper, showing off the simple construction, and, of course, whatever socks you choose to rock underneath. Now, a full year after the original, Blondey’s clear Superstar is back, and this time in an eye-catching ‘Starlight Blue’ color scheme that pits the plastic upper in pale blue while black leather overlays and red laces complete the look.

Blondey McCoy’s second iteration of his translucent adidas Superstar has finally been announced for release later this week on December 18th, 2020, a full year after the original pair released. The PVC-constructed “Starlight Blue” pair will retail for a cool $150, and release from a limited number of adidas retailers.
