adidas list of collaborative partners is ever growing. This month, the Three Stripes has revealed a new take on their popular Continental 80 by Japanese brand BEAUTY & YOUTH, a subsection of longtime partner UA & Sons.

The adidas Continental 80 has been a low-key hit for the brand since it released last year. Originally released in the 1980s, obviously, the low-top sneaker was originally built as a successor to the Stan Smith before it took over as an everyday trainer. After fading from the adidas arsenal at the time, the shoe spend several decades dormant before the release of Kanye West’s similar-looking Powerphase retro gave the Three Stripes the go-ahead to bring back another classic look. Now, the Continental is available in a variety of colorways, as well as being included in several simple collaborations with some of adidas’ favorite creators.

This month, the adidas Continental 80 receives a lux new upgrade from Japan’s BEAUTY & YOUTH. While the brand is not a household name in America, many will recognize their parent company as long-time adidas partner United Arrows and Sons. B&Y’s fresh take on the Continental is stunning. The leather upper comes in a smooth cream-colored tone with bold black adidas branding around the silhouette. Two pairs of laces come in the box, one white and the other a speckled black and white.

The BEAUTY & YOUTH x adidas Continental 80’s is currently available for pre-order via the Japanese label’s website. The beautifully constructed sneaker carries a retail price of around $115, slightly more than the Continental’s regular tag.
