adidas Originals first teamed up with Chinese designer Angel Chen last Summer, allowing the Next in Fashion star to transform a number of adidas classics to her liking. Now, the two have teamed up again for a tooth-filled collection of footwear.

Angel Chen’s international breakout moment as a designer came from Netflix’s Next in Fashion, a hybrid reality show and design competition that gives up-and-coming creatives a shot at a debut collection with Net-a-Porter. One of the stars of the show’s inaugural season, Angel Chen’s colorful work and use of fusion won her plenty of fans before being eliminated in the penultimate round. Since then, Chen has gone on to design several of her own collections, as well as teaming up with adidas Originals to transform some of their famous footwear to her own tastes. This week, the two are back with a second capsule collection, this time adding some bite to the Superstar and SL7600. Both silhouettes have added large rubberized teeth to their midsoles, adding to the high fashion appeal of both sneakers through chunky additions, and assumably, some added stability. The Superstar will arrive in tonal colorways of black and icey pink, while the SL7600 opts for a brighter look, mixing navy blue uppers with red suede overlays, and neon green accents.

The latest collection from Chinese designer Angel Chen and adidas Originals has been scheduled to debut on February 24th, 2021 from the Three Stripes’ United Kingdom website, while a stateside drop has yet to be announced. The toothy collection of classic adidas footwear will be available from both adidas and select retailers, with prices ranging from approximately $190 for the Superstar to $300 for the SL7600.
