adidas Originals’ revival of the beloved ZX 8000 is not over yet, as the brand still has plenty more new styles stashed up their sleeves. Today, we have a close look at a new “Yoyogi Park”-themed pair, coming soon.

Earlier this year, adidas Originals teamed up with the United States National Parks Association to celebrate some of the country’s greatest living landmarks, and encouraging fans to enjoy the outdoors while we have the chance. The project consisted of a series of ZX sneakers designed to incorporate prominent colors and textures from each park, as well as some outdoor-inspired details to boot. Now, it appears adidas is taking the park appreciation theme international, thanks to a sneak peak at the upcoming ZX 8000 “Yoyogi Park”. Following cues from its predecessors, this release pays homage to Japan’s Yoyogi Park, a famous site in Shibuya, Tokyo, Japan. Home to a number of hobby groups that gather there as well as being a tourist destination in its own right, Yoyogi Park is represented in the form of the ZX 8000 featuring colors reminiscent of the wildlife there. The look begins with a cream white leather base layer, reinforced by dark brown nubuck overlays along the heels and mudguard. A single grey midlayer is present near the quarter panels, while the signature Three Stripes come in an eye-catching purple. Finally, light brown suede makes up the lines the lacing system, while a shaggy suede tongue completes the look.

adidas Originals’ latest ZX 8000, celebrating Japan’s Yoyogi Park, has not yet been announced for release, though they are expected to drop sometime in the coming weeks. The special-edition version of the classic ZX model will launch from both adidas and select retailers, with a rumored price tag of $120.
