adidas Originals is going all out with its ZX sneakers this year, introducing new models and variations on a monthly basis. This week, we have an early look at a new minimal version of the ZX 8000, coming soon.

adidas appears to be gearing up for a “Minimalist Icons” pack sometime this year, if some of their recent releases seem to indicate. So far this year, two “minimalist” versions of the Forum Low, one of the brand’s main focuses for 2021, have surfaced online, showing a deconstructed and slimmed-down version of the classic court shoe. However, both pairs have since vanished from the Three Stripes’ website, and new information regarding them has slowed to a crawl. However, this week we got an early look at an upcoming ZX 8000 following a similar design language, and subtitled “Minimalist Icons” on the backside of the adidas website. This points to a growing collection of adidas footwear of the same origin, which we are likely to see sometime this Summer. The “minimalist” ZX 8000 features a white leather and grey suede construction, with the overlays recut and re-layered for a highly unique new look.
