The adidas ZX 8000 lineup is set to grow a little bigger next year, as the Three Stripes continue too incorporate more styles and colors into their arsenal. Today, we have an early look at a new “Metallic Grey” look, dropping in 2022.
adidas’ classic ZX 8000 has been one of our favorite sneakers to watch over the past several years, as the Three Stripes continually develop fresh new versions of the classic running shoe for today’s market. Last year’s update to the ZX 8k inserted a hidden Boost pod into the shoe’s heels, changing they way the feel on feet and making them more comfortable to wear for hours on end. Today, we have an early look at an upcoming “Metallic Grey” colorway of the 8000, which pits the silhouette in a high-contrast color scheme. The look begins with a flat grey tone making up the shoe’s nylon base layer, as well as the mudguard and eyestay. The midsole, lacing system, and shank all appear in a vibrant electric blue tone, while subtle dusty pink hits adorn the stripes, toes, and inner lining.

adidas’ latest colorway of the fan-favorite ZX 8000 silhouette has not yet been announced for release, but they are expected to hit shelves sometime in the Spring of 2022. The “Metallic Grey” color scheme will be available from both adidas and select retailers for $120.
